CKC Blog October Guest Designer Mini Kit and Altered File Folder Photo Pocket Project

October 2018 Guest Designer for Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog efforts continue with a Mini Kit from my full kit and its project for 6 October 2018:

Altered File Folder into a Photo Album Pocket: junk journal enthusiasts will love this mixed media version variation. Instead of having several scrapbook layouts, I've recycled a file folder to become an album pocket. Lots of papers were used! In fact, I had to add papers from the original stack which I'll show in a pic towards the end.

Mini kit from my October "All About Autumn" full kit for CKC Blog. Smoky gray satin ribbon was added and used to secure the hole-punched sides of the folder.

Above: front side of file folder in progress

Above: back side of file folder

Above: finished front of the file folder album pocket; glittered oak leaf was one of my forgery items featured on October 4th (letter stickers were add-ons to kit since they matched colors in papers)

Above: 1 photo collage is another forgery item featured October 4th; the other 9 photos are from 2 events from 2009 (Joe and I had lunch with his 3 sisters in St. Charles, MO and his cousin Roy and his wife Judy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a BBQ at their home in Lithium, MO)

Above: looking down inside the pocket; I created tabs on some of the photos with decorative tapes to make access a bit easier to pull up. The file folder was written on but as a recycled, upcycled, altered project who would know unless I told you?!!! :)

Mini kit was taken from the 5 papers on the right middle side of the above photo. And then because I was using up paper quickly to cover both sides of the folder and for multiple layers behind each photo, I had to use the other additional 5 papers in that group! Yea! Small sections leftover which continues to make me happy to put such a dent into all this old inventory!!

This is the ID badge for CKCB. The direct link to the mini kit reveals from two Master Forgers  will be found here: https://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/2018/10/october-2018-mini-kit-reveal.html

Thanks for following my efforts and excitement to be CKCB's October Guest Designer!

    1. Lisa: I saw this idea in a Junk Journal group on Facebook and 'filed' it away in my brain as a future possibility. It's a fun creative way to hold my husband's extended family snapshots from the past 8-9 years!

    1. Exactly, Cindy! The photo taken of the pocket sitting on the buffet features husband's older family pics and the pocket's going to hold pics taken in the past 15 years. Thanks for stopping by my blog, Cindy!
