MTTC New Theme Focus on the Sentiment starts 30 April 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart is excited and hopefully I can keep the layout simple to let the sentiment be the focus! Let's see what the creative wheels and time at the desk and table have wrought this week:

My Time To Craft's new theme is "Sentiment". Put the focus on the cover sentiment/message! Make it bold. Make it colorful. Make it out of bling. Whatever. Who knows? Combine all of those! Check out my projects and use the MTTC challenge post #456 seen a little bit further down to take you over there to see what the other DT members have made.

Circling to "Have A Great Birth Day" card=

Isn't this terrific!

Design and vendor notes:

a. flat base (5" x 7") and background plain sage green (4.5" x 6.5") cardstocks are from Astrobrights/Neenah

b. other solid color cardstock scraps for the circles are from Astrobrights or Pen + Gear

c. patterned cardstock scrap (4" x 6") has been in my stash for way too many years...I forget who made it

d. alpha stickers are Webster Pages/Alison Kreft (have) and Freckled Fawn (a, great, birth, day)

e. star and heart stickers are Simple Stories

f. ink edging are cardstocks except base

I had so much fun and loved the results of Card #1 that I made a Card #2 using same old card layout and the theme focus on the sentiment. I changed the wording, used different dimensions for the background papers and some of the circles.

"Have a fun & super birth day card"=

Design and vendor notes:

a. flat base (5" x 7") cardstock; yellow print (4.75" x 6") cardstock is from My Mind's Eye; the 'bird's eye view' black and cream patterned paper is from The Paper Studio; the very pale mint green with white dot patterned cardstock (largest circle) is also from My Mind's Eye

b. the others are scraps, probably either Pen + Gear or Astrobrights/Neenah

c. alpha stickers for 'have', 'fun', 'birth', and 'day' are from Freckled Fawn

d. the & and little heart are from Webster Pages

e. the multicolor letters for 'super' and the corrugated cupcake stick-on are from Dollar Tree

f. alpha letter 'a' in bright pink is from Simple Stories

At the start of the year I wanted 2021 to be filled with love and to also take a throwback look to cards I made in 2010 or 2011 to be my inspiration. I haven't done that for March and April, so I'm starting the planning and blog draft process with this soon-to-be card's inspo:

This thinking of you card was photographed/scanned on March 9, 2010. Different stencils were used for the different circle sizes and for the squiggles.

My Time To Craft Christmas no 8 Baubles or Ornaments Only Theme for 23 April 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart got excited about creating a scene that simulates a window scene or wall décor with banner/bunting and 3 strands of ornaments coming down. Shell (MTTCC blog owner) wants to see bauble(s)/ornament(s) by themselves. No tree is necessary. She wants the focus to be the bauble. So design your own, use die-cut, use a stamp or digital image, etc. Look in your winter holiday stash and see what you have.

I couldn't resist having a green plaid triangle shape in the background. And I did intentionally set it off-center. Join us at My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog theme #8 that starts 23 April 2021

Let Heaven and Nature Sing Ornaments and Banner Card:

MTTC challenge blog Office Supply Theme for 16 April 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart wanted to go crazy with MTTC's new theme! I didn't want to use an office supply like an embellishment but to really build most of the card cover with office/stationery supplies. Creative thoughts were better than the execution, however....see what you all think.

My Time To Craft's # theme challenge will start early on Friday, April 16, 2021 and will last a fortnight.

 CARD #1: Today's Plan Birthday card=

link for MTTC's office/stationery supply (-ies) theme # =

Creative design process included these supplies found in or on my desk or table used for crafting=

1. regular and jumbo sized paper clips

2. two types of memo notes--yellow and sage green lined sticky notes and white lined memo page ripped from the memo pad

3. micro-thin washi tapes used as little banner flags on the jumbo clips

4. three colors of highlighters were used to create a border on the white memo paper

5. four colors of ink pens to write the birthday sentiment

6. three colors of permanent markers were used to create a dotted border on the card bases

7. a planner stencil sheet with different words or phrases had the 'today's plan' that I thought went well with the idea of a birthday celebration

CHD challenge blog no 31 starts 15 April 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart is excited this week to be able to showcase 2 digital images made by Createful Heart Designs. Without further ado...

Design Team Inspiration Card #1 with Image #1 Water Lilies with Dragonflies

Zibbet store link= https://marketplace.zibbet.com/createful-heart-design/water-lilies-with-dragonflies-digital-stamp-image

Note: the dot print paper is from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby; colored pencils were used for the majority of coloring for the digital image with a teeny bit of black marker dots for the dragonflies' eyes and a bit of yellow for the stamens on the largest waterlily; such a scene of serenity when I look at the image and the colors and prints I added  to surround it!

Design Team Inspiration Card #2 with Image #2 Angel Bear

Zibbet store link= https://createful-heart-design.zibbet.com/angel-bear-digital-stamp-outlined-image

Note: the 2 gorgeous patterned cardstocks used for the backdrops are from My Mind's Eye's 29th Street Market collection; the green diagonal striped cardstock is also My Mind's Eye but from the 'find your wings' collection; only colored pencils used for the Angel Bear digital image...simply charming!...Oh!
