Cards for family--Birthday for niece

Next week, my youngest niece is turning 10. Because her birthday falls during the week, her birthday celebrations are this weekend. So keeping in mind her pre-teen changing interests, I've gone with a 70s retro-inspired, Partridge Family type look.

What can I say besides "Wow"!!!

1. 4" x 6" white card base (and envelope not shown)= Current Catalog
2. Calent Alpha Gold sticko stickers= EK Success Brands
3. Super Cool Flowers kit (pattern papers, jewels, large flower-power stick-ons)= Me & My Big Ideas

6. French Curve templates by Helix (I've had these for years!!!!)
7. additional cardstock and birthday theme stickers= personal stash

Cards for family--birthday

This card was made for my sister-in-law's birthday this week. Her favorite color is blue but as I put this together with the different coordinates, some of the other colors in the patterns show more distinctly.

I'm really enjoying using baker's twine as an alternative to ribbon.

Supplies:
1. Sunny Day pattern papers by Lydia Collection
2. baker's twine by We R Memory Keepers
3. Elmer's Craft Bond glues and adhesives squares
4. 4" x 6" white card base and envelope (not shown) by Current Catalog
5. mini jeweled florettes by Petaloo.com at Hobby Lobby
6. Enchanted Evening by Encore Ultimate Metallic Ink Pad by Tsuineko, Inc.
7. others from personal stash

Card-making: 4th quick post--girlfriend birthday

My "BFF" has the perfect big fat cats and they inspired the focus for her birthday card.

Card-making: Thinking of you created w/ coordinating papers

I wanted a beautiful card for my aunt. Coral is the "hot" hue for fashion this spring and this deep coral is striking with the blue-gray and creamy beige colors.

Card-Making: 2nd quick post for today--tooth fairy card

Cute! My youngest nephew just lost his first 2 teeth within 3 days of each other. My husband and I have been the "tooth fairy" for his older sisters and now it's our turn to mark these developmental milestones for him. (However, 6 months ago, he said that he wanted to keep his teeth and Uncle Joe can just keep his money!!!!!)

Card-making: Birthday card

Hi! Crafting friends, it has been 4 1/2 months full of super hectic life since my last posting. In the midst of moving and starting a new job, our old property sold about one week before Thanksgiving! (In this current economy, to have a house in a very very small rural town sell in 4 1/2 months--July to mid-November--is amazing!) My husband has been super busy handling the home projects. As the projects have tapered off as we are nearing the end of things, I have been able to create a few cards lately.

Several quick postings will follow. I'm not going to give details on products or techniques at this time. Readers/followers: ask questions and I can go back in and edit.

This first post is a birthday card created for my nephew. I really like the mix of strips...depth...variety...interest...visual appeal.
