Loving my CCMWF October Scripture Encouragement Card Exchange project

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: This is my first time to participate in the swap exchange that was started earlier this year within the Facebook group, Christian Card Makers Women's Fellowship. At the end of current month, the group members are given a few days to comment if they want to participate and how many times/partners they are willing to exchange cards with for the next month. Since I've got lots of challenge blog commitments, I only agreed to create and mail out 1. My exchange partner lives in New York state. I received her card on October 20th. Mine was started before then but due to weekend traveling, I finished mine on October 20th and am getting the blog draft ready on Oct 21-22.

when: October 2025 Scripture Encouragement card exchange; can't post until after my partner receives the card (mailing out on Oct 22) and posts a picture of this in the FB group; she posted on Oct 28!

what: Project #1 = Stained Glass Prayer Card

how-to & vendor notes for #1 = each person gets to select their own Scripture verse to share and however it's used regarding layout, colors, occasion, etc. I chose Psalm 9:1 for my card's verse sentiment.

1. Psalm 9:1 KJV typed in Google Doc; trimmed with deckle-edged scissors; ink dabbed and ink edged

2. Guava mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

3. white cardstock = Georgia Pacific

4. deep orange cardstock = Recollections

5. orange tone cardstock = Pen + Gear

6. stained glass prayer card = came in a religious organization's solicited mail at my mom's house sometime in the past 2 years; my mom had saved it and when I came upon it, I brought to my house and placed it in my stash basket. Prayer card edges were distressed using scissors' blade and inked with the Guava mini stamp pad.

7. kraft card (folded; however I cut it apart to create 2 layers with 1 deckle-edge trimmed a bit smaller; edges inked; foam tape between layers to lift up)

8. bright pink gems (from pack of 3 different sizes) = Studio G/Hampton Arts

where #1 will be linked =
