My Mondrian Mondays Journal Page #29 on 12 Jan 2026

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: This posting shares another My Mondrian Mondays Journal Notebook entries after about 3 weeks or so holiday break. We've done some traveling and I've done some reading. Taking time away from the craft table and computer. I took time on Sunday to get the design made in pencil and then early this morning after letting our Mister Bennett out for a break, I did the gray marker pen overlay over all the design lines. Mandalas are something that artisan blogger friend Lauren Bergold does on Mondays. She's done these for years in journals, cards, index cards, etc. She's always experimenting to create new variations. And this time, I was trying to give a nod to Mandalas plus keep a bit of famous artist Piet Mondrian straight lines and color blocking from his famous compositions into today's design. (geometric design)
