Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!
why: My blog posting showcases my newest entry to my 1 year old journaling project: My Mondrian Mondays Journal Pages!! Mondrian is a famous Dutch artist known by most folks for his geometric composition paintings from the 1920s-1940s. He also did some abstract geometric designs with nautical vibes and there are some landscapes and still lifes in his vast collection. I opted for a Monday feature and then I decided to alliterate with Mondrian coming to my thoughts. So over the past year, I've managed to get 31 completed and this page starts year 2 with #32!!
when: this blog post will be published on Monday March 16, 2026.
what: Project #1 = overlapped stenciled squares with stenciled unicorn, stars, clouds + rainbows ===> "Captured Tumbled Views of a Magical Springtime Sky"

Hello, Chris!! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThe overlapping squares give this entry such great movement, and the way you’ve tucked the unicorn, clouds, stars, and rainbow into those shifting spaces really does feel like a spring sky full of surprises. The mix of marker work and colored pencil adds depth without losing that clean Mondrian structure. A bright, playful start to year two of the series.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lisa!!
DeleteBecca, you've entered what appears to be a scrapbook layout to The Paper Funday Challenge but your link goes to the Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity and I get a message that Blog is no longer active. I'm sorry but I've had to remove your entry. Please feel free to resubmit with a working link.
