Recipe formula to follow challenge at MTTC blog for 1 May 2020

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My heart has desired to get some easy cards made for the moms of 2 classmates from childhood. One mom had hip surgery and needed a get well card. The other mom is celebrating a birthday this weekend.

So I used this recipe formula challenge to get these 2 cards made. Totally different themes but the papers and embellishments were from the same kit I assembled for several projects due at the end of April.

The recipe formula to follow=
a. 2 or more images
b. 1 patterned paper
c. 2 die-cuts or buttons
d. 1 ribbon or bow

Top card: follows the recipe perfectly! 2 freebie digi images, 1 chevron patterned paper, 2 die-cut accents, and 1 cording/ribbon tied with knot.

Bottom card: follows the recipe with some odd pairings= 1 freebie image & 1 bronze dazzle sentiment image, 1 floral patterned paper, 3 die-cut accents (2 photo corner tabs and butterfly), and 1 double cording tied bow.

Greens, yellows, oranges, and some pinks are the key colors I focused on for quickly assembling a kit that was a mixture of a few leftovers from a mini kit made about 10 days ago, a few new and old items from my work table, and a few spanking new things received in the mail 2 days ago!

Here are a few photos of the kit which is explained in detail in another posting (The Great Stash Bash). Partial credit for the mini kit leftovers mentioned in the last paragraph can be seen reflected in a posting last week (Mini Kit for April 2020 CKC blog).

Above: Most of the green and white chevron paper is used for the green birthday card.

Above: The bronze sentiment image is from the package shown near the green card. And the digi images are not colored yet and seen on the left. Cording and some other embellishments got cropped out of the photo that were sitting to the left.

Above: The green card & envelope is seen in the corner. The 2 die-cut accents used on the green card are in the center of the photo.
Below: the floral patterned cardstock is shown on the orange get well soon card

A few more scanned and cropped close-ups for each card:

Manufacturers/Vendors include but aren't limited to:
a. Bugaboo for the freebie birthday theme digital images
b. The Paper Studio (green and white chevron patterned paper)
c. Webster Pages (orange floral cardstock)
d. Crafter's Square (butterfly)
e. Darice (green and orange small size flat cards with matching envelopes)
f. My Mind's Eye (photo corner tabs; maybe the 2 die-cut accents, but not sure)
g. Paper Wishes/Hot Off the Press ('dazzle' get well soon sentiment image)
