MTTC no 462 DT card for no patterned paper usage theme challenge starting 23 July 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart wasn't too worried with this theme because I've made lots of cards recently with solid color cardstocks with either the images and/or use of washi tape providing colors and lines. This time I wanted to go on a bit different route and create a scene mixing soft waxy paint stick, stencil, some chipboard die-cut stick-ons, jumbo gem dots, vellum, and two alpha tile stickers. I'm actually combining 3 different blog challenges together with the focal panel, so continue reading the post to find out what the requirements are for the other 2.

*#462

*theme= no patterned paper (also known as designer paper)

*starts morning of Friday, July 23, 2021 and lasts for 13 days

Design & vendor notes:

a. solid color cardstocks are actually neon bright but due to printer's scanner light the hues are pastel and available for Pen + Gear

b. vellum strip, stencil for the 'sun', black marker for the tiny ladybug, gem dots, die-cut flowers and leaf with ladybug are from stash

c. "HB" alpha tiles are from Freckled Fawn

d. yellow wax and green wax are 2 colors along with 2 others available in a 'paint sticks' set from Art Skills; available at Dollar General stores

e. the 'sun' was stenciled first and then the stems and short grass lines; vellum was applied with clear glue tape on opposite side of the lettering in order to hide it as best that I could; die-cuts and alphas added next; jumbo gem dots for polka dot element for a challenge were added as other flower buds; and a 2nd ladybug needed for a 3rd challenge was made with black marker and tiny red glitter foam heart onto the leaf
