Loving my PRSC blog #3 DT projects on 2 April 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! -- from America's heartland!

why: This posting shares another round of design team inspiration projects for Paper-Rocks-Scissors challenge blog.

when: #3 paper and scissors anything goes theme challenge starts April 2nd and lasts the whole month

what: Project #1: Elephant birthday card

notes for #1:

1. base is purple glitter specialty paper cut to 4.25" square = Crafter's Square (from a scrap pack)

2. black and white geometric glossy print cardstock was trimmed from 6" square to a 4" square = Crafter's Square (from a multi-design print pack)

3. yellow and white geometric print paper scrap = SU

4. wood laser elephant cut-out = Crafter's Square (from a 3 design pack)

5. "HB" stamp = old 2001 SU

6. three colors of cording (yellow, black, and purple) tied together = Crafter's Square (3 colors per pack); scissors cut for each length of cording from their rolls

7. not shown = dual-sided adhesive tape strips used to adhere geometric cardstock to the purple glitter specialty paper (strips cut from the roll)

and

what: Project #2Christmas tree shaped display card -- final version

below: this was version 1: simple; I could have shown it staged because that's how I planned to use it with little fake pine tree, church or deer, etc.

and

the reverse side has inking and a sentiment sticker

notes for #2

21. plaid paper = Recollections

22. kraft cardstock = Colorbok

23. sticker from a mix design package = Hallmark

24. Wild Wasabi stamp pad (cotton ball pouncing) = SU

25. Walnut (brown) stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

26. a variety of pearls and gems; also red, green and brown markers = stash

27. scissors used to cut/fussy cut the tree base and then after lightly gluing the surface of the cardstock applying the plaid paper, smoothing it out then fussy cutting the plaid; gems and pearls were cut away from extra adhesive on their packaging sheet

  2. Great card! I love it's bold & geometric feel. The elephant die is a unique & charming focal point. Reminds me of the Flying Dumbo ride. Thank you for playing with us at Park Hopping My Happy Place. 🎢🩷🌸 Hope you have a great day!🙏🖌️🎨 Cheers, Makira
