Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!
the post's purpose...the why: This gorgeous spring garden scene birthday card is for My Time To Craft (MTTC) #557. The theme is the first in a 7 installment series of required shape card structures/bases. Granmargaret has suggested 'rectangle'. So an easy basic to get us all started.
the when: #557 starts on Friday April 4, 2025 and lasts for 13 days
the what: Hydrangeas in the Garden birthday card
the how-to notes: my rectangle-shaped card is oriented horizontally

2. cover's/front panel had a 2.25" circle punched = EK Success Tool
3. on the inside of the back panel = Sweet Sugarplum ink/stamp pad dabbed and it is circled by some Always Artichoke ink/stamp pad = both by SU
4. "HB" old wood stamp = SU/2001
5. on the front panel = Fresh Fig is around the circle and Tempting Turquoise gives a sky look; both stamp pads = SU
6. hydrangeas layered stickers = old/Crafter's Square

C. As You Like It; new on April 3; favorite cute or floral and why? theme; My card is floral and that's a good percentage of the cards I make, I believe. I don't tend to do cutesy as much. That's probably 5-10% of what I do. From a young age, I've always been drawn to flowers, picking them and giving them to my mom as a child, making May Day baskets with lilac blooms for our neighbor ladies, etc. As an teenager and adult, lots of clothes, scarves, and jewelry have been floral. I've got floral arrangements in 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room now!!! Floral is what I like!

E. Krafty Chicks; new on April 3/week 1 theme of birthdays; My card is stamped for birthday...this might be my sister's or one of my nieces with May birthdays

** special notes: At my challenge blog FarmQuest #70 the theme is ladybugs or other insects. With my wood butterfly accent, I could link up there if I wasn't the owner. FQCB #70 started March 28 and ends April 27.
**Also I have a newish challenge blog called HQFSCAT #4 or Heart's Quest For Shaped Cards and Tags. Sadly, the only shape exception for both cards and tags is standard 4/straight corner rectangles.
Variations like rounded corners, dog-eared, scallop-topped, diagonal cut on 1 side...these are all accepted shapes. HQFSCAT #4 started on April 2nd.
**And another challenge blog of mine, HQCOLCB or Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love challenges blog has 5 main themes/special occasions that are coded as "BEWAS" and B is for Birthdays. Like these other special notes, as owner I can't link up this card. HQCOLCB #4 for 2025 started on April 2nd.
