Anything Goes Theme no 244 starts 1 June 2020 at TCCC blog

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Oh, my artsy-crafty heart is so very happy this evening as I draft this post for the morning! I can't believe May is ending and June's beginning! I'm a June bug and even after all these years I still like to celebrate my birthday.

This card features the word "Love" so to me that could be birthday for a special relative or thinking of you or a just because. With the adorable "Jungle Friends" digital image provided by prize sponsor All Dressed Up, this card will probably go to one of our younger great nieces on my husband's side. My first great nephew will make his debut in mid-October. I'm thrilled that there is a next generation starting for my sister's fam! However I digress. This is my sort of tropical vibe nature setting for the digi:

Masculine and or weather themes for TCCC blog no 221 new post reveal

The new challenge at TCCC is sponsored by All Dressed Up and SheepSki Designs.

My "Cool Dudes" image from ADU is super cute and perfect for a winter weather connection, hence the added blue ink snowflakes and white glitter foam one. I've included light blue/gray cardstocks to keep it cold sky color-related. Colorful puffy alpha sticker sets provide a bright contrast to grab your attention. And then a chromatography type watercolor marker + water treatment on coffee filters bled through to the paper toweling which I decided was too terrific not to use too. So a section got added for a backdrop and helps reinforce the bright hues!

I'm the only one on the DT crew that used this image, so please use the TCCC link to see what other wonderful images from ADU were available to use by the team and also check out what half the crew had to use from SheepSki...terrific images to support masculine AND weather themes. There are some creative interpretations!

*Another reminder= make sure to look at what the other DT crew members have created using images from ADU or SheepSki. Take time to give them some feedback, too.

Greeting Card suitable for multiple occasions is DT card for PPCC blog 424

All Occasion Greeting Card

Depending on the inside sentiment, this card could be a thinking of you or get well or birthday. It's been a long time since I've made a card that has that versatility. Generally I have an embellishment or front cover sentiment that determines the direction.

For Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge blog Design Team inspiration card for #424:

PPCC blog has 2 prize sponsors for this new challenge week so the DT crew is divided in half to represent each company. Julie placed me with the All Dressed Up company provided images and I selected this pretty floral trio called "Jam Jars". The 2nd prize sponsor is Sparkle N Sprinkle. Use the blog post link to get all the details about the blog, this specific challenge, the sponsors, and see the rest of the DT creations:

ID badges for PPCC, ADU, and SNS=

More photos of the all occasion greeting card:

Those "Jam Jars" are colored lightly using a spring green colored pencil in order to copy cat Mason Jars/Ball canning jars. I printed the digital image onto "Marshmallow" white cardstock from Colorbok. And the base card kraft paper might be Colorbok too. It's been in my stash for awhile. Dimensions of the front are 4.25" wide x 5.5" tall.

#2 challenge shout-out is to Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. The products I used are from the kit I assembled for March 2019. The floral background paper and 2 washi tapes are from My Mind's Eye Splendor kit. The green paper, gems, and "lovely" text sticker were part of old inventory in my March kit. Since March is now over, I won't link to them directly in this post. They've already released the April 2019 kit reveal and a 2nd post called "Just the Gist" to help followers figure out how to analyze the selected kit to mimic when they pull items from their own stockpiles. (Most crafters have something they cling to...hoard...some its sparkly bling, cute die-cuts, or pretty patterned papers.)

Layout-wise I kept it clean and simple...and lovely! What a sweet springtime card to give to a special someone!

I planned to be crafting in between medical appointments for my husband, so keep checking back to see what new creative challenges I'm striving to do. And it would be a honor if you would keep my hubby and I in your thoughts and prayers. About 4-6 weeks ago he was referred to Northwestern Memorial Hospital/NWU/NWM for possible candidacy for heart transplant surgery. His first consult appointment with the program director was last week and he will have lots of blood work and other tests coming up to complete as preliminaries in the coming 2-3 weeks as some more get scheduled. After he does all of these to see what his overall physical condition currently is, he will have at least 2 days at NW for another round of doctors' consults and interviews (psychologist, social worker, etc.) and then everything gets presented to a committee for determination of how to proceed or not. There is a possibility that he could be denied or another alternative suggested like bypass grafts or stints. Our local cardiologists in Peoria think it's too risky for grafts or stints but we will wait and see what NWM heart failure clinic doctors and surgeons have to say.

PPCC blog #382 anything goes theme

No. 1 teacher

I just love the pink, gray, and black color palette for this card! The 3 diamond shaped designer patterned papers are from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and the pink and gray print on the left is from an old stash, so I don't know who to credit for it. The pale pink, light gray, and black cardstocks are Colorbok.

Image of No. 1 Teacher is from All Dressed Up (info below). She's a moxie fab trendy gal! Colored pencils give the image a soft appearance to go with the delicate lines used by ADU.

PPCC blog's #382 challenge is anything goes theme. Make sure when you participate that you have some kind of paper crafted creation (tag, bookmark, ATC, greeting card, party invite, scrapbook layout, etc.) in order to be eligible for one of the prizes. Get all the details: https://pennyschallenges.blogspot.com/2018/05/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-382.html

All Dressed Up (ADU) is the image sponsor for the design team at PPCC blog as well as the prize sponsor. Use the above blog post link to find connections for ADU.

A second prize sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps. Get their links at the PPCC blog post #382, too. This is their sponsor ID badge:

About one-third of the way completed in creating this stunning female teacher appreciation card shown in the photo below! If you compare this below photo to up above, the marbled pink triangle wasn't used. I tried all kinds of arrangements and felt like I had to use only 1 small triangle with the 3 diamond shaped papers plus the focal image. Well the marbled pink triangle will show up on another card or tag soon I'm sure.

All Dressed Up image used for Dog playing poker theme card for May 2018 Facebook group gallery

Cute just got cuter

I don't know what happened when taking the picture and getting it transferred from cell phone to email that the bottom 1/4 got cut off. I still have the card so I will take another photo and add it in later as an edit. Sorry.

This 'cute' image is from=

ID badge for All Dressed Up and the ADU May 2018 Facebook challenge is to embellish it (one of their images), so I'm considering the decorative tape and playing card as my embellishments:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.1597948736970024&type=3

This card was made while I was thinking about the infamous velvet paintings of "Dogs Playing Poker". The 'paper' that "HI" is written on is actually a recycled playing card that I inherited over 20 years ago when I married my husband. We don't play cards but he had two packs of cards that we just held on to and finally a few years ago I decided to upcycle or recycle them into mixed media paper-crafting projects.

The colors on the back of the playing card and the decorative tape then led me to use blue and red papers and red and blue markers for part of the image coloring.

What quirky item are you using in your crafting?
