Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This posting does feature hearts and an image called "Ladybug Love" from LeAnn's World 101. I felt that it was important for me to emphasize the love aspect and have the image set in a heart symbolic shape.

a. card base: white flat scalloped edge
b. patterned paper: an oldie but favorite from my stockpile; I meticulously re-traced the scalloped edging to be 1/4" reduced all the way around compared to the card base! It took extra prep time but it's details like this that are definitely worth the time!!!!
c. 2 cardstocks: the digi image is printed on white CS and then mounted on deep magenta marbled CS
d. embellishments: green gems, deep magenta glitter foam double heart
e. digi image colored with mostly colored pencils and some marker accents; background surrounding the image was to create a setting of sky with a little bit of grass and dirt below. I layered different greens and a reddish brown on the uppermost leaves to give them a bit of aging in contrast to the leaves underneath.

HIMCR #356 for 2nd Saturday of the month scraps theme
HB is for happy birthday not hot bike! It could be but no, this is a warm color palette inspired card! Blazing full speed into another year!
HIMCR #356 design team card for June 9=
HIMCR's and Ike's Art Digital Stamps' ID badges are shown below. The HIMCR #356 blog post link is: http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/2018/06/himcr-356-super-scraps-saturday.html
HIMCR is the host challenge blog and I'm a member of the design team. (Yea!) Ike's Art Digital Stamps is both the provider of the digital images used by the design team's paper creations for this challenge as well as the prize sponsor for the selected winning entry that is linked to HIMCR's #356 blog post.
Design notes:
a. theme= scraps; all the cardstocks are scraps (Colorbok for 6 of the solid colors of yellow, squash, cinnamon, burnt orange, red, and light gray; and The Paper Studio for 1 solid color/orange background)
b. another scrap is the striped arrow
c. image=courtesy of HIMCR #356 prize sponsor, Ike's Art Digital Stamps
d. motorcycle design theme supported with: bright warm colors, arrows, inking around image to look like greasy fingers had been touching it (NOT!) :)
e. birthday theme or message supported with: "HB!" and masculine elements to give card to one of my cousins or one of my husband's buddies
f. another challenge I want to link this card to is for Always Happy Birthday for June with the theme of birthday anything goes and option for summer time birthday (like my choice of hot summery sunshine color palette): https://alwayshappybirthday.blogspot.com/2018/06/june-challenge-birthday-anything-goes.html

HIMCR 342 color week theme of monochromatic greens and Inspired By challenge
Comfort and encouragement with monochromatic greens....
technically my design team inspiration card has more of an analogous color scheme of yellow-greens, greens of light and dark, and blue-greens
but I love how I was able to use Ike's Art Tropical Fish images (there's more than 3 in the set)
Ike's Art badge
This card was based on a sketch layout and I got artsy with painting my base cardstock (cotton ball- swiped paints of blue, green, and yellow) in order to get an ocean water look:
I gathered 4 different designer papers from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and some scrapbooking stickers I thought might work and then modified this layout sketch to fit the dimensions of the card (4.5" x 8")
The layout sketch was intended for scrapbooking so the lines meant for journaling and spot for the date weren't used, the title got moved to the left, and the 2 fish serve in place of the photos and were shifted over to the right. I am wonderfully pleased with the results:
A touch of gray and brown with black lettering to keep it interesting...
Another of Ike's Art Tropical Fish for the inside panel
Visit the HIMCR post for #342 and see what the other members of the design team created for your inspiration for this week's color theme. Besides the tropical fish, there is a shamrock teddy bear, parrot, and dragon also courtesy of Ike's Art that the team used. Fun!!
And I'm also linking to the Inspired By challenge this week which has lots of green colors in Over in the Meadow...I've got the green part but I'm in the ocean waters and not running through the pasture or the back 40 acres!

By the way, besides the greens, the inspiration photo looks like it was quilted and the stitch lines remind me of the sections on each fish fin and the multiple strips of papers in my card. (You see it too, don't you?!?!)
