PPCC blog #389 for 18 July 2018 design team inspiration card

Isn't this poppies filled frame digital image very adorable?!?!!!

Learn about the guidelines to participate each week, the DT, deadlines to post, theme for challenge(s), sponsors, and more by reading the PPCC blog #389 post with this link:  http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.com/2018/07/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-389.html

The super cute poppies border with butterfly frame image was one of the provided images to the Design Team this week from Delicious Doodles. Thanks, DD!!!! It's so pretty! https://www.etsy.com/shop/newdeliciousdoodles

Then half of the DT has used images from ADFD. These images have delicate thin lines and are always delightful.  http://www.adayfordaisies.com/

And here are some more views, including a few using different backdrop:

In the below photo, as I was preparing to make this card I knew for the poppies I would be using lots of red and red-oranges, so I knew I had to have some of that color in my paper selections. Then based on how I colored the image, the rest of the papers pre-selected were quickly edited out in order to not draw focus away from the spectacular image:

Inside panel was quickly completed with a sentiment from Stampin' Up, a simple stitching border, a foam glitter heart, and 2 small scrap sections:

Bonus paper-craft creation this week: These bookmarks that fit inside a regular letter envelope size used several of the patterned papers seen in one of the earlier photos yet such a different vibe with the images. A school district in our region's mascot is Chiefs. Their website features several pages' banners with an arrowhead, so that's why one of the bookmarks features that instead of a warrior chief profile. Their colors are red, black, and white.

Still crafting in the USA heartland, Becca S
