CCMWF Facebook group late August 2018 short challenge

Short challenge for 8/27/18-9/2/2018 at CCMWF (Christian Card Making ~ Women's Fellowship)

Make some cards and mail at least 1 to a group member using a old collection of papers (paper pad; how most manufacturers print for sale).

Cards are made and 6 are ready to mail tomorrow, 9/4/2018, when the post office system starts again after the Labor Day holiday weekend. There are lots of photos to show covers and insides! I was rather ambitious to use a partially used old Card-Maker kit of the month plus an old set of beautiful 2-sided cardstock pad. I've only got about 15% of the card of the month kit left and the paper pad only got 2 full sheets used by Sunday night's deadline. [some more of this will be seen in September!]

Stickers pulled and used almost 2 sheets and partials of 2 others, so a small dent was made! :)

Card #1: sympathy (base and papers are from the card-of-the-month kit)

Card #2: birthday (aqua, yellow, and ivory paper is old stock carried over from another August challenge at CKC blog and the rest is card-of-the-month kit)

Card #3: birthday (white w/ gray dots, orange print, and the green variegated print directly under the orange are more leftover papers from a recent CKC August challenge along with the scrap strips stapled inside and the rest come from the card of the month kit)

Card #4: birthday (all papers are from the card of the month kit)

Card #5: birthday (mix of the CKC blog kit from August and the card of the month kit)

Card #6: birthday (most of the papers are card of the month kit)

These 4 are from the 8.5" square beautiful 2-sided cardstock paper collection. I still want to add some lace or seam binding or maybe a strip of a decorative tape to the front of each without losing the awesome floral prints:

This was a crazy whirl of crafting this weekend in between seeing a few out-of-town cousins, a few in-town cousins, my mom and my great aunt then spending 1 1/2 hours at a concert downtown and a parade this afternoon that were part of the community's annual Labor Day celebration! And church Sunday morning, too!

Until next time, still crafting in the USA heartland, Becca S
