A requested non-request...crossed paths on Sunday (guest minister at our church) whose sermon was based on passages from Matthew and Mark about God caring for sparrowssaid he had not seen any artwork depicting sparrows...who would take time to expend their energy for a tiny bird that cost half a penny (back 2,000 years ago)....
So unknown to him, I spent about half hour 2 days ago doing online searching of different clipart images related to "His Eye Is On the Sparrow" and found five for my theme.
Then yesterday afternoon I spent about one hour total in coloring the images, trimming, and adhering them to create this:
Won't he be surprised?!?!!!
It is a single layer suitable for 5" x 7" framing. The designer floral patterned paper is 4" x 6". The only image not colored is the one in the lower right corner of the birds on a wire. Some Bible translations use the general term "birds" instead of sparrows and also Matthew and Mark differ in single or plural use of sparrow or sparrows. The concept remains though that if a bird that society deems worth only half a penny is known by God then how much are you and I known by God?
