Coulda. Woulda. Shoulda. Posted on Saturday or Sunday, the 6th or 7th of January.
3 favorite colors are purple, bubble gum pink, and magenta |
However I could not. Husband woke me up at 3:30 am asking me to get dressed and drive him to the hospital! He was complaining of sweating, being clammy, and having some slight chest pain. He took 4 baby-size aspirin before we left the rental house. The best trauma hospital in the region is about 45-60 minutes away. So, by the time we arrived his pain had eased but his vital signs were getting alarming. Anyway, to shorten the story, he was having a mild heart attack possibly due to a blockage somewhere. This was his 3rd one. It had only been 70 days since the last mild one and due to them doing an angiogram then in October, they felt it was too risky to do it again. But blood thinners helped get his vital signs within normal range, the longer he was on the heparin. So they made the right call. He got discharged yesterday and is to take it easy this week before re-starting cardiac rehab monitored exercise 3x per week.
For the #334 challenge at HIMCR:

Please read the details (you are to pick 3 favorite colors to use), blog rules, and check out the sponsor, My Besties. The design team had 3 images to share amongst 7 crafters and the results for inspiration are amazing if I can brag about our group!!!! Visit the blog and leave a comment for any of us and/or go to each crafter's blog to do that. Also remember to post before the posted deadline, too. We all have crazy busy lives and it's too easy to forget.
The image from My Besties is called "Sweet Treats" and she's just too sweet! This adorable winking girl has some sassy spirit, doesn't she?!
Have you noticed her bow looks bent forward a bit? I cut along the lines of the bow and down against the side of her face and placed a small foam square adhesive behind the center knot in order to lift it out some. I wanted to do something different with her and I also wanted to not lose the word "wish" behind her on the banner. I believe I achieved my goal with a little creative engineering! :)
The glitter hearts seen on front and inside center are actually a deep magenta pink but they look red when I look at my cell phone photographs. Small sections of pink and white heart-shaped doilies have been folded and stapled for a corner accent. I think it sort of looks like a short squatty arrow. The blue glossy cardstock is from recycled packaging backing! The inside panel part of the sentiment was printed on white cardstock and then cut out to look like ribbon.
Papers and pink cardstock base have been inked in combinations of blue and purple. My fave colors are purple and pink, their combination of magenta, and I also like the varying shades and tones of each, too. Periwinkle 'blue' is also another favorite. So this card really shows almost my whole favorite range of hues!
And here is a full view of the front panel:

Such a fun image and I too love purple! Glad your hubby went to the hospital for his symptoms and I hope his cardio rehab goes well. Hugs from Oklahoma!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my blog! and wishes about my husband. It had only been 70 days since #2 and about a month and half shy of 20 years since #1. He went with me to rehab/exercise/phase 3 that I do at same place to just walk around the floor a couple of times on Wednesday and he's planning on going with me tomorrow. He should be able to re-start his rehab on Monday. Thanks for seeing my Sweet Treats card for HIMCR.
