CTB Day 6 color challenge for holiday chaos palette

Catch the Bug's Day 6

and

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Sketch #127

So I did an Advent ATC and a get well ATC using the same color challenge and sketch in a previous post and decided I better do something a little more Christmas holiday with these.

The center pentagon/pointed shape is loosely applied here with the partial poinsettia serving as the pointed area and the "God So Loved the World" tag is for the square/rectangle portion above the ribbon (which for me is the tape):

The colors are better at closely aligning with more of those presented in the challenge photo. Even with using the recycled food lid metallic silver aluminum instead of the grey, the spectrum of colors are creatively suggested in this non-traditional "card".

A close-up:

Some of the techniques were:
*paper-piecing the partial poinsettia image
*recycling/upcycling the take-out foil lid

Still crafting in the very cold heartland with snow expected overnight,
Becca

    1. Thank you! I'm shocked that it only took me 20-30 minutes to make. I don't have a lot of crafting supplies right now because of a house fire we had in August and temporarily living in a rental while we are displaced, but I enjoy being challenged creatively to solve problems like color combos and sketch suggestions.

    1. I really enjoy figuring out the color components with my limited arts and craft stock. I've got some items in storage because we moved a year ago August but then we had a house fire this August and lost about 40-43% of the just-finished updated home structure. I estimated I lost about $100 of supplies on the kitchen table and about another $50-100 stored in the closest BR to the fire area. (started with a nightlight bulb exploding that was in our laundry room!) In the past 2 months, I've bought about $25-50 to just get me motivated again to start paper-crafting. Keep posting wonderful challenges on Catch the Bug!!!
