HIMCR #355 1st Saturday of the month color theme has a twist

Color theme twist for the month of June at the HIMCR blog...use 4 colors

1. 4 colors
2. 1 image
3. 2 cards

Card 1: the 4 colors are butternut squash yellow-orange, deep orange, red, and brown (black and white as the neutrals)

Card 2: the 4 colors for this version are pink (2 shades), blue, lavender, and a light teal blue-green

These cards are for the design team inspiration for the Hiding In My Craft Room blog challenge #355 starting June 2, 2018. Image for both cards is a variation of Lexi that I referred to as Sad Lexi from Oddball Arts, our image and prize sponsor for #355.

b. Card #1 angled view:

c. Card #1 side view to show that the center focal piece is lifted off the background with foam squares:

d. Card #2 view from left side that shows the wrap around text used for this second version and that the 2 tulips are lifted off the background with foam squares:

e. Card #2 view from the right side that gives a different perspective of the mix of images, colors, and features like the outlining (some solid lines and some with broken stitch lines):

Both cards are intended as sympathy card with one very subtle and one more direct due to text wording. I love the fact that I was able to color each Lexi image specifically to match the colors used in the cardstocks and pattern papers. I really like the results. Hopefully the receivers will realize the thoughts and prayers that went into the making.

Still crafting in the USA heartland, Becca S
