Twofer Card Challenge #6 trees

This will be my first time to enter in a challenge for this fairly new blog:

Twofer Card Challenge #6 Trees

This month is about using a tree stamp or die in 2 different ways for 2 different occasions/cards, so I've used a small pine looking tree stamp for a thinking of you card and a Christmas card.

Trees

For the thinking of you card, I've tried to make the little trees resemble blueberry bushes and stamped a birdie next to one of them to add to the scene. There are also faint blue clouds, some grass and dirt to finish the scene:

And for the Christmas card, the tree was stamped multiple times onto green paper and then the paper was torn surrounding them. A white paint pen was used to add snow onto the branches. Torn/inked baby blue paper was used to mimic snow mounds. "O Holy Night" was added as the sentiment for this one's Christmas message:

I'm glad I came across this new challenge blog during my commenting on others' creations. My brain needed to be tweaked, adjusted, and kick-started into using old items in new ways.

Until next time,
Still crafting in the heartland, Becca S

  1. I'm glad we got your brain excited, Becca! It's wonderful to stretch our stamps and make Christmas trees as trees AND then as blueberry bushes! I love the creativity! Thank you so much for joining in Twofer Card Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell

  2. Your blueberry bushes make me want to go blueberry picking this summer! I love the little bird. When we went blueberry picking last summer, there was a loud speaker with bird sounds playing in order to keep "other" birds away. Your Christmas card is wonderful with the snow flurries and piles of snow! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  3. Your blueberry bushes are so creative and fun, Becca ... what a cute scene, especially with that little bird about to start munching! Such a frosty looking snowscape ... there's a wonderful crisp chill about all the detailing ... snowflakes, Christmas trees and those cool snow mounds! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
