Encouragement card theme for Sketch N Scrap Go Green Crop Challenge no 2

March 2019 has been very productive thus far for my paper-crafting efforts! At SNS group on Facebook, card sketch #46 by Lisa Hidy has been given for the layout design and the other required prompt bit to include is to use barcodes or manufacturers' borders for the strips.

How fun! I only started saving these in the past 2 months or so ago. I'm glad I already had some trimmed. It made the prep time for this card quick and easy. I also already had the card base ready. Measuring, trimming, and inking edges of the strips took the biggest portion of time but that was only about 10 minutes.

Supplies and vendor notes:
a. the 4 strips are from My Mind's Eye cardstocks (circa 2015 approx.)
b. the dark red stripe paper is The Paper Studio by Hobby Lobby
c. the compass rose and chart your course by the stars are from the Treasure Map Word Stickers sheet by October Afternoon
d. the little star stickers are from Studio Calico
e. amber gems bought at Dollar Tree
f. cream cardstock bought at Wal-Mart

The Go Green Crop Challenge is part of the SNS Facebook group events calendar for March 2019, so you will have to join to find out all the details. Visitors only get a limited peek. If you enjoy card-making and scrapbooking, check it out!...notice I spun the sketch design around! I used a side-fold opening card base and wanted the longest strip to be at the top. Dimensions are 4.25" x 5.5". Strips are 5", 4.5", 4.24", and 4" in length.

More blog thanks go to 100 Pattern Papers Challenge group on Facebook because these papers came from the 2019 starter kit that I pulled together back in January and then a smaller portion were used for my Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and community group Feb 2019 kit! I've been very busy both in February and now in March using the large Feb kit. It was filled with nature-inspired colors and patterns. Some birds and lots of butterflies. The word stickers have been an extra add-on that I've need to have for embellishments.  Love how this card came together both in colors, patterns, and extras! I'm taking a creative break for a few days to focus on church, laundry, and some appointments on Monday. Check back in a few days! Becca S
