My Paper Rocks Scissors #16 DT card for 2 May 2026

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity!, a personal crafting blog!

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artisan crafting blogger and former teacher. May has always been a busy month for celebrating moms and grandmothers and then many family birthdays including my sister who is just over 11 months younger than me! Only 21 days shy of a calendar year between us!!!!

She did better in crocheting whereas for me, completing a Granny square was always a triumph! Even with the difficulties of being left-handed, I am the better sewer/sewist. :)

where: this post is for my newest DT member commitment for Deanne's Paper-Rocks-Scissors;

when: #16 launches on May 2, 2026

why: #16 theme is anything goes using paper &/or scissors

what: "Just a note" small card; this might be sent to 1 of 2 cousins of my dad that are still living (the oldest is 99 and the other is maybe 91-92); I've been trying to mail them a holiday or seasonal card every 4-6 weeks to help cheer them on.

  4. Love the gentle spring feeling in your small note card, and the leafy collage paper paired with the soft green base creates a fresh, uplifting look while the simple cording and washi strip add just the right amount of texture to keep everything balanced and charming.

  5. What wonderful designer paper—featuring such a beautiful, spring-like botanical motif! And you have crafted a truly enchanting card with it. The coloring of the edges is very pretty, as is the lovely shade of the base paper. I love the ribbon on the left side—it lends a wonderful lightness to your card.
    Thank you so much for sharing your card with us as part of the current “Do-Al(l) Kreatives" challenge.
