Anything Goes Theme for no 161 DT project for S4fC blog

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This posting does feature hearts and an image called "Ladybug Love" from LeAnn's World 101. I felt that it was important for me to emphasize the love aspect and have the image set in a heart symbolic shape.

Anything Goes theme for #161 starting Friday, February 28, 2020
link= https://scrapping4funchallenges.blogspot.com/2020/02/challenge-161-anything-goes.html

a. card base: white flat scalloped edge
b. patterned paper: an oldie but favorite from my stockpile; I meticulously re-traced the scalloped edging to be 1/4" reduced all the way around compared to the card base! It took extra prep time but it's details like this that are definitely worth the time!!!!
c. 2 cardstocks: the digi image is printed on white CS and then mounted on deep magenta marbled CS
d. embellishments: green gems, deep magenta glitter foam double heart
e. digi image colored with mostly colored pencils and some marker accents; background surrounding the image was to create a setting of sky with a little bit of grass and dirt below. I layered different greens and a reddish brown on the uppermost leaves to give them a bit of aging in contrast to the leaves underneath.

February 2020 Week 4 Technique or Stash challenge using foil for 52 CCT blog

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity and this posting is about using the stash item of foil or products with foil/metallic foil for Christmas cards. 52 CCT is Christmas Card Throwdown and this is Week 8 of 52 for 2020 (or for starting the 4th week of February).

I decided for my design team inspiration card for 52 CCT blog that I would go old school using kitchen foil laid over a snowflake texture plate. Using a mechanical pencil's eraser I gently pressed over the texture plate to create an embossed/impressed image and then took permanent markers to highlight the impressed spots.

I've currently got this card resting on top of my printer and at an angle it looks great (as opposed to this flat scanner photo...sorry). It's not perfect due to several spots of the marker smearing before the ink dried. Yet the green tone of the snowman's scarf is a spot-on match to the cardstock background that is on a white flat card base and little details like that make my heart happy!

Use stamping not a digital image theme challenge for no 415 MTTC Blog

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog and to my posting about MTTC's newest fortnight challenge! This time we would like to see stamping (rubber or clear types) instead of digital images to be featured on your creations.

#415 starts 2/21/2020 at My Time To Craft

For my design team commitment for MTTC, I decided to make a card for my oldest niece and her husband's 4th anniversary:

[the purple paper is not part of the card; I used it for blocking out the light of the scanner]

other scanned views:

*the "best wishes" rubber stamp on wood is part of a celebrations set available from Hampton Art
*the flowers are a new style of washi 'roll' that I discovered from Pen + Gear, which is available in the planner area of the office supplies at Wal-Mart...who knew!!!! The washi tape strip helping to separate the 2 patterned papers is part of a multi-roll set also from Pen + Gear/Wal-Mart!.
*another bargain is the butterfly with foil from a sheet sold by Crafter's Choice found at Dollar Tree; there are several monochrome sets available; I've found a blues set, purple, green, yellow/amber, and orange/tan/brown. More $tree bargains were the patterned papers which were part of the same paper pad collection....Woot! Woot!!

15th of the month post for TCCC blog with a February theme of pink or red

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity! The Crafter's Café Challenge Blog has challenge release dates on the 1st and 15th of each month, so this is February's mid-month that I'm referring to. The theme is based on color pink or red.

For Valentine's celebrated inspiration card, I've used a variety of pinks--soft pale pink for the cardstock base to the deep magentas seen in the patterned paper and hearts. There are mauve pink-lavenders used to color the digi image, patterned papers, and alpha stickers for "Luv".

Isn't this image cute and sweet??!!! I love this mix of pastels and bolds with how I colored the digi to coordinate with most of the patterned papers--so charming!

Sponsors for this TCCC connected post are: My Besties and QKR Stampede (which is the provider for this darling image).

Design notes or supply/vendor notes:
a. digi image = QKR Stampede
b. colored markers, gold metallic pen, and a few colored pencils for the image
c. white tag (set of them), blue gems (part of a spool), glitter foam hearts, and 3 of the patterned papers were bought at a dollar discount store
d. foam dots were used to lift up the digi image

February 2020 Week 3 Theme of Cocoa for 52 CCT blog

Hi, welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity. This posting is about cocoa or hot chocolate as the theme for week 7 of 2020 or 3rd week of February at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge blog.

Can you believe that this weekend marks the 7th of 52 weeks in 2020? Cray-cray!!! This is a busy print-filled card filled with those cozy images associated with cocoa and winter-time. Remember this is a Christmas cards only blog.

Further in the posting, I'll share a bit about all the different vendors, but here's the 1st look at my design team inspiration card for 52 CCT=

More details about how to participate, rules, deadlines, bragging rights, other DT cards, etc. can be found using this link= https://52cct.blogspot.com/2020/02/february-theme-challenge.html

more scanned photo variations=

notes about supplies and vendors=
a. the "Ugly Sweater" stationery was a notepad;
b. "cozy" alpha stickers
c. the steaming cup of hot chocolate/cocoa is a rub-on transfer from a set by Echo Park
d. the cut-apart journal card was part of the cardstock/paper collection from Bo Bunny along with the pinkish red print under it and the reindeer print background paper.
e. reindeer clothespin was 1 of 4 dark stained (w/ 4 natural wood) purchased at Wal-mart this past season
f. kraft cardstock, gems, white snowflake, and cording have been in my stockpile as well as the buttery cream-colored cardstock serving as the base (red paper is used to block out light of the scanner of my printer).

linking or sharing to these other challenge blogs and Facebook groups:
a. Jingle Belles; started Friday, Feb 14; theme of Rudolph the RED Nosed Reindeer; lots of red
[my card's scanning has toned down most of the reddish tones making them look either pinky-coral or brown; however the 'ugly sweater' stationery sheet in reality has reddish tones, the paper under the journal card cut apart is a tonal red; the brown metallic border on the cut-apart card is actually a dark red like the lettering for sleigh ride and hot cocoa; and the green reindeer print cardstock has a bit of the dark red metallic foil visible in a few small spots; 2 of the letters in cozy--the c & o--are dark reds and then the cup of cocoa is the boldest bright red.]
