Pick a Past Challenge at 52 CCT and my introduction to their Design Team

Exciting news to share!! I applied and was accepted to be on the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge blog design team! December 21st is my first official inspiration project for them.

The prompt is to use any previous 52 CCT challenge as your final Christmas card for 2019. I decided to go back to June 8th's color palette of gray, white, pink, and kraft (and I've gold too since it is so close to my other kraft/beige tones):

A Shepherd Boy Christmas card for Design Team Inspiration at TCCC Blog

Was this Shepherd Boy guarding his lamb the night baby Jesus was born? So much symbolism in this image...God protecting His Son...or God protecting one of His flock...creatures kneeling before Jesus...Merry Christ-mas, everyone!

For The Crafter's Café Challenge Blog #233: theme options are holidays or I spy with my little eye "C" things (Christ, Christmas, comfort, clothing, cookies, cocoa, etc.)

Shepherd Boy image from the prize sponsor QKR Stampede. More prize details related to participating for this new fortnight (expanded due to upcoming holiday time) challenge at the TCCC blog. Link = https://crafterscafeblogchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/12/233-holidays-or-i-spy-with-my-little.html

The kraft and gold metallic damask patterned cardstock is from Creativity Inc. Cardstock behind the digital image is recycled packaging! Stamp for sentiment is from Pink Paislee's Together at Home for Christmas collection. Gold and black star sticker is from The Paper Studio. All papers except base have been edged in black ink.

Happy Autumn Thanksgiving Card for 2019

About a month ago, I started making this Thanksgiving card with the base, background and copper trim. And then life took over and the unfinished card just kept laying to the side of my dining table (aka craft table).

The wooden pumpkin came painted with orange, so I decided to use red-orange marker to color in the natural wood maple leaves. Gold metallic paint pen was used to write "happy" and "autumn". A white paint pen was used to add a charming face to the pumpkin. Voila!

Inside sentiment states "Enjoy the autumn season!"

Winter Holiday theme for December 2019 at A Place To Start challenge blog

Another Christmas 2019 card: I've made a wintery Christmas card without a true cover sentiment due to the very large reindeer focal for my design team project commitment for APTS. The mix of patterned papers are also placed in a different format in order to emphasize the sloped angle of the reindeer's legs and curved antlers.

Here is the unusual card for my resident designer status at APTS=

All 3 patterned papers are available from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby. The deer and snowflake were part of a larger set bought at a dollar store. "hello, dear" sticker is also from a set of stickers that I purchased last year at Christmas-time at Hobby Lobby. Base card is kraft paper.

APTS December 2019 post= any wintery holiday theme (Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, etc.)

use the above link to get all the details, see recognized crafter's from the previous month's link-up time, and see what the current guest designers and resident designers have prepared for December

Window theme option for TCCC design team project no 232 for 1 Dec 2019

This fortnight The Crafter's Café Challenge blog is offering 2 theme options: 1 layer or window, so for this blog post I'm focusing on the window theme for this cute barn scene=

close-up:

TCCC #232 with 2 theme prompts: 1 layer or window...this is my window scene card for the DT inspiration...link=

prize sponsors for #232 are MAW and DDD=

my wonderful digital image is from MAW!!!

I thought the "deer in the air" was a cute touch but it makes a mess trying to scan, so that's why it's seen 2 different ways.

One Layer Theme Option for TCCC blog Design Team project for no 232

The new challenge for #232 has 2 theme options: 1 layer or window. This post features my base plus 1 layer card for The Crafter's Café Challenge blog. I printed the digital image from Morgan's Art World (1 of 2 prize sponsors for #232) onto pink cardstock in order to help minimize layers:

Isn't she gorgeous?!!! The white paint pen has helped imitate depth and texture on the pink cardstock base, which I'm glad I thought of using this particular supply in my 'arsenal'!

Technically the only layer then for this card is for the glitter foam snowflakes, which I just had to include next to the white paint ones.
