who: Hello! I'm Becca S, an craft artisan blogger, who caught the paper-crafting blog bug back in 2010. I started gradually as a participant and then within a few months I became a design team member. Then I started getting involved with 3-5 teams for many years. When COVID hit, many blog owners were stepping down and I took over the management for 2 teams which gave me the confidence to start my own. Ally's Angels was a path of DT to co-owner/DT and then owner/DT. It's easy to participate at Ally's Angels due to the theme of 'anything goes'. You can submit any occasion, use any colors or topics or manufacturers' products or tools. 

where: Ally's Angels, is a challenge blog, I own. The blog link and theme/date badge will be shared at the bottom of the post. 

when: #108 starts July 15 and ends August 12, 2026. 

why: As mentioned earlier, I own AA and the theme is anything goes. This time I decided to do a layout that I refer to as fractured tiles. It's a X-pattern with opposite pieces matching with 2 printed papers.

1. white small folded card base w/ envelope = from a pack of 6 = Crafter's Square

2. alternating red and blue partial dots made with stencil ruler = very old 40-50 year old plastic shapes stencil ruler (part of a set of different options) found at my mom's house

4. small stars print paper & large blue with white stars print paper = All Seasons paper pad by Hello Hobby/Walmart

notes: this was made during the same crafting session as the AACB September DT project with triangles/prints used in opposite locations, different stamping arrangement and colors on the center focal (Sept's was more blues and greens)

MTTC #517 Use 2 or more print papers theme DT card for 22 September 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This card was made from a box of stash items that I haven't accessed for several months. It was like a breath of fresh air to delve into the box and see what would work for MTTC's #517.

WHAT: My Time To Craft challenge blog's #517 theme is to use 2 or more patterned/print papers (or cardstocks).

WHEN: #517 starts September 22, 2023 and lasts for 13 days

Krafty Chicks #645 January 5-11 Guest Designer Project for Stamp Theme

THICC #130 DT inspiration card for challenge starting 13 December 2022

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! 

This posting showcases my design inspiration card for my commitment with The Holly and The Ivy Christmas Challenge blog that I refer to as THICC. #130 is an Anything Christmas Goes competition from December 13 to December 26/27. 

THICC will take a short break after that and return for #131 on January 10, 2023. 

This was a last minute oops make because I had this card checked off on my to-do list...but it wasn't made.

Yikes. And it was my 2nd make too in a panic 45 minute craft session. 

2nd time was the charm.

MTTCC #47 Theme is Elves or Gnomes starting 11 November 2022

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! As I keep saying every 2 weeks, my heart gets excited about crafting Christmas cards! This one is no exception. The layout did bother me a bit but instead of doing a horizontal, my focal image appeared better to me in a vertical slimline form.

My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog's #47 theme requires elves or gnomes. It's okay to use just 1 like I have. Online talented friend Mary Smith (Createful Heart Design) drew this adorable envelope- holding gnome. 

Gnome/Gnomie featured focal Christmas card:

Some design notes and vendors about this card:

1. slimline light tan/sand cardstock base is 4" wide x 8.5" high

2. 3 other solid color cardstock scraps are from stash

3. Createful Heart Design/Mary Smith for the gnome digital image; black fine marker borders were added by me; also little white and silver snowflakes (Hot Off The Press) were added by me; colored by me

4. candy cane patterned paper is from The Paper Studio

5. "MC" green foil/metallic dazzle/lettering and medium white and silver snowflake are from Hot Off The Press available at The Paper Wishes website

6. an old white stamp pad was applied with smearing motions in order to give the paper scraps' edges a snowy touch

Ally's Angels Challenge Blog 10 September 2022 DT Project

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Oh, my stars! What a week with kindergarteners after a 3-day weekend!!?!!! And several DT commitments, too. For Ally's Angels September challenge I decided to use some new to me stash supplies.

Ally's Angels September 10, 2022 challenge release continues with our Anything Goes theme. I used a small white A2 card base with a bubblegum pink cardstock for the background. The gorgeous patterned paper is a specialty type with wonderful texture (see closeup cropped scan pic)! Three layered butterfly die-cut stickers make their flight on the card. A small sentiment block on blue cardstock fits in the corner. Stampin' Up stamp with another one saying "Happy Birthday" for the inside panel add the finishing touches.

MTTC #487 Theme is Ocean/Seaside starting 29 July 2022

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My heart is happy to share some easy ocean seaside themed cards using wood die-cuts from Dollar Tree!!! YES! I will be showing 1 card with a sailboat and another with a seahorse. 

MTTC's #487 theme has a bit of flex for craft artisans. It can be beachside or it can be underwater or on the water. Ocean or Sea-worthy. July 29-August 11, 2022 with start and end times on these dates at 12am CT/Chicago or 6am UK.

Design Inspiration Project #1 features a wood sailboat colored and glitter painted=

I like the boat being in its faux water setting (blue glitter decorative tape and the muted green with white flecks cardstock)!!!!

Some of the credits: (1) sailboat wood die-cut = Dollar Tree; (2) camping/canoe symbols print cardstock = Lake Life paper pad; (3) rust print, dots, muted green with tiny white flecks cardstocks and the floral die-cut ephemera along with the white card base = Simple Stories card kit; blue glitter decorative and the great adventure sticker are from my stash.

Some credits: (1) bold blue glossy cardstock panel on the left is recycled packaging; (2) cork 'ribbon' was bought at Dollar Tree as was the plain wood seahorse; (3) tropical palm leaf with flowers die-cut ephemera is from .....; and (4) postcard and island die-cut ephemera and the white cardstock base card are from Simple Stories' card kit "Wish You Were Here". 

These were fun to make!
