My Heart's Quest Pretty in Pink #1 DT mostly pink cards on 15 Sept 2026

who: Hello! I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy former FACS (home economics) and also Early Childhood teacher! For my wedding dress, I took 2 patterns and merged them together. I altered the sleeve length and also the bow/bustle at my back waist area. The pew markers and most of the other decorations were put together by me. A brother-in-law of my husband's created an arch, painted it gold and scroll-saw the letters of our names to have on boards that he placed on the support bar connecting the sides together. It was a unique feature for our ceremony. That was 30.5 years ago already!!! <3

when: #1 starts September 15 until October 12, 2026. 

why: Since mid-March to August 12, 2026, I was on the design team for CIP, helping to provide inspirational cards featuring mostly pinks. And I knew that past entry levels were pretty good back prior to 2025. So I'll give it a try and see how it goes. 

what: Project #1= Arched focal card with friendship quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson

how: This card has several ranges of pinks + pinkish/lavender in the plaid, a small bit of light blue and darker blue and bits of green. Neutrals of white, black and gray.

1. pastel pink cardstock top-folded to dimensions of 4.25" wide & 5.5" high = Colorbok

2. friendship quote was found on page 23 in a gift book called "Friendship Is A Gift" = Clever Factory

3. gray colored pencil = Marvy Uchida/stash box

4. gray retractable non-smudge marker pen = Zebra Clickart

5. plaid print paper = Recollections

6. flower stickers = Antique Garden sticker book by K & Company

7. pink glitter foam heart sticker (from a mix of pink and reds heart stickers) = Crafter's Square

8. inside: "You are uniquely special! Thanks for being my friend!"
