who: Hello! I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy blogger and have dabbled in lots of arts and crafts since a young girl. I've also dabbled in practical arts 'formally' at age 9 through 4-H Club in taking Learning to Cook 1 (scrambled eggs, hard-boiled egg, bake potato, shredding carrots, rice cereal w marshmallow treats) and Learning to Bake 1 (brownies, cookies) plus Learning to Sew 1 (gathered/drawstring bag, pillow). who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old blogger who has been part of the crafting challenge blogworld since 2010!! I didn't own a computer until 2000 and then it was my sister's/b-i-l's old one, thank heavens that they helped out. I was getting my master's coursework restarted. And thank heavens my tuition fees included computer lab access with tutors/supervisors on hand! Before I got my sister's, I would try to spend a half hour or so before my evening classes and then try to go for a couple of hours on a Saturday in order to get typed/word processed what needed to be completed for deadlines. Those tutors were vexed by my endless questions and fear that I would blow something up!!!-- Bless their hearts for being patient with the 38+ year old who never had computers in high school or undergraduate college years!!

where: This post showcases my new design team projects for my Heart's Quest Pretty in Pink challenges blog. The #2 blog post link will be shared later in the post.

why: #2 and all challenges have to be 'mainly pink'. I decided in early to mid- March 2026 to get involved with a color-focused challenge blog. I wanted the creative mental decision-making for something different than my own challenge blogs. That color-focused blog closed without warning in mid-August 2026. I decided to start HQPIPCB with same main theme in mid-September. I'm adding an optional theme that will most times be a certain supply pattern that has pink in it. My Ally's Angels #111 design team AG theme project on 15 Oct 2026

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old crafting blogger, who confesses that her stenciling and inking skills still need some development. The flowers and leaves on this showcased card are from a new to me 'simple coloring stencil set' called Cozy Mornings by Altenew. Using their packaging illustrations I've tried to add veining, some curled petal edges, center stamens, etc. 

where: This card is for my owner/design team commitment to Ally's Angels, a crafting challenge blog.

why: A couple years ago, I became a silent co-owner and a design team member of Ally's Angels when the previous owner gave it up. Then the active co-owner/administrator stepped down after a year or so. So then I became the active owner for this 'anything goes theme' challenge blog.

My Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges #55 design team projects

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy blogger. As a faith believer in the Trinity, I understand that there is a battle for good versus evil throughout our world. I know God has given us amazing mental abilities for creativity, logic, discernment between reality and fantasy. Someone recently commented that 'soft' fantasy refers to the make believe that is charming, whimsical yet some can be fierce protectors like guardian angels and dragons. So HQFCB wants to see your angels, fairies, gnomes, mermaids, dragons, unicorns, etc. 

where: HQFCB or Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog. It is a specialty niche crafting challenge that started many years ago and I believe I'm the 4th owner. 

when: #55 begins October 6, 2026 and stays open for 6-7 weeks. 

why: This personal blog post features my newest design team fantasy inspiration projects for HQFCB. I've chosen a fairy and a gnome for my two 'anything goes fantasy' samples.

3. coffee pot (4 parts) and cup (2 parts) stencil sheets = Cozy Mornings; Simple Coloring Stencil Set by Altenew {also: flower w 2 parts and 2 different leaves} NBUS

4. lettering stenciled with an alphabet stencil ruler = found 2 years ago at my mom's house and is now in my crafting supplies

5. red, gree, blue permanent dual-tip markers = Art Skills; blue marker's broad tip was used to ink the outside perimeter of the focal stenciled panel

6. blue/Fish Tank and gray/Narwhal mini stamp/ink pads = Lawn Fawn (used paper to help dab and smear/drag ink)

7. red and green gel ink pens for flowers & leaves on the pot; blue gel ink pen used for cup

8. gray + orange + red + green + yellow colored pencils to embellish the coffee pot

9. two tones of brown colored pencils to do coffee liquid in cup; and 1 tone of brown to add 2 light drops dripping from pot's spout (I drew these.)

10. blue and white cording (sold with 2 more colors of cording spools) = Crafter's Square

11. inside: stamped 'here's to you' (1 of the everyday message stamps in a tub by Hero Arts)

who: Hello! I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy blogger, who is a design team member for Pin-spirational Challenges. This is my husband's birthday month and I have about a week to make his card and figure out a gift! :) <3 

where: Pin-spirational Challenges is owned by Deanne and this year she is using Pinterest photos for color combo image prompts for each monthly session in 2026. Orange and black is the combo for #342. 

when: #342 is the October 2026 challenge session for Pin-spirational.

why: I am a design team member for Deanne's Pin-spirational. Her overall theme for 2026 for this crafting challenge blog is color combinations. 

what: orange and black color combo theme

how-to and/or vendor details:

1. orange =

a. orange and white cording = Crafter's Square

b. Pumpkin Spice (mini stamp/ink pad) = Lawn Fawn (used for the stenciling/distress ink look on my arch homemade stencil; and used to stamp the flower)

c. orange colored pencil = Marvy Uchida (used for the flower and some little areas on the leaves; trying to show some variegation)

d. orange fine tip marker = Jot (used to stencil trace the inside edge of my homemade arch/window stencil)

2. black = 

a. white thread was inked using a black marker = Sharpie (wadded up the thread on top of some scrap paper and then inked/tie-dyed the white ----> black)

b. black stamp pad = Hero Arts (lightly applied)

c. mini black enamel dot sticker = Simple Stories

OTHERS:

3. white A2 fold on left side cardstock base = w/ envelope = sold in pack = Crafter's Square

4. yellow-orange enamel dot sticker = Simple Stories

5. green, yellow and red colored pencils = stash box/Marvy Uchida; used for flower, stem and leaves

My Halloween Crafts All Year Round dt card on 1 Oct 2026

who: I'm Becca S, an artsy-craftsy blogger! About 2 years ago I was on Deanne's design team for the expanded Halloween and other occasions challenge blog. Then participation waned. So she's bringing it back on October 1st...just in time for 2026 Halloween. I like to do 'softer' Halloween with things that are cute, silly, maybe a tad weird such as this wild n wacky designed pumpkin!!!
