And then about 9 years ago as a major health event and house fire happened one week apart, crafting was an activity I could do without straining my heart and lungs. 1. pink cardstock cut to 6" square and edges were distressed = Art Skills

2. black fine tip permanent marker = Sharpie

3. very old stencil ruler with shapes and different edgings = discovered at my mom's house when cleaning out and so it came to my house (stars and dots + scallops) & another one from the set with alphabet used for "HB2U"; a Z was altered to make a 2. 

4. white cardstock = Jot

5. cup and saucer stencil/pattern template = coloring book image download print; fussy cut and used for a tracing pattern

6. bright pink paper for the cup and saucer = Colorbok

7. pink and magenta washable markers = Jot

Mason Jar Lemonade Mug thinking of you card

On August 12th, I drove almost 2 hours in the rain (and then return trip) to meet 2 childhood friends for lunch at a super cool bar/grill restaurant in Champaign, IL. We all met in kindergarten so many years ago!! I always enjoy our get-togethers!

1. white cardstock base (folded on most of left side) = Georgia-Pacific

2. Canary Yellow alcohol marker = Arteza

3. red dual-tip marker = Art Skills

4. alphabet stencil ruler = not sure of vendor; this was found at my mom's house; I believe the set are at least 40-50 years old!!!!

5. mason jar mug with straw image = Super Coloring Pages website; free printable; sized to 2 per page; **note: the straw was a bendy style but I thought durability-wise, I better edit and make it a straight straw**

6. pink and burnt orange colored pencils for straw; gray colored pencil for lid & light highlights on the handle = stash box

My Mondays Mixed Media Journal Page #3 on 22 June 2026 Cocoa Cups for Two

who: Hello! I'm Becca S; a 60+ year old living with my 70+ year old husband and our 15-16 year old doggy, Mister Bennett, in north central Illinois. We met while both being in the St. Louis/St. Charles counties/metro areas of Missouri; being introduced by his oldest sister about 3 months after he was widowed. Dated, engaged and wedded within 7 months + 1 week!!!!!!!

when: MMMMJP #3 was made on Monday June 22, 2026; blogged on 06/23/2026

why: I did about 13-14 months of a Piet Mondrian influenced geometric design pages on Mondays and then I filled the notebook. About 5 weeks ago I started a less page notebook (30 sheets; probably will have 14 or 15 mixed media pages) to be my experiments with mixed media. 

what: Cocoa Cups for Two mixed media page (MMMMJP #3)

how: 

1. colored pencils: 2 tones of peach, 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 pink, 1 red = stash box/some are by Marvy Uchida + 2 shades of brown for a wood table sketch + 1 black for the space under and next to the wood table

2. stamp pad ink: Lawn Fawn's Fish Tank (blue) mini stamp pad

3. clear stamp: "Happy Day" is part of Bo Bunny's Willow and Sage stamp set

4. texture rubbing: I placed a small sheet of pearl gems under the paper and did a texture rubbing then the stamping was placed over it

5. markers: yellow for the sun, brown for cocoa steam from Jot

6. gold glitter paint: used for moisture/steam look for above the cups = Folk Art/Plaid

7. stickers = cocoa 'whipped cream' dollops (not as poop!); puffy mixed icon shape stickers package by American Greetings, LLC.  

8. stickers = puffy "Pop Tarts", muffin and cookie stickers = a food theme pack of little puffy shapes = American Greetings, LLC. 

9. stickers = chalkboard style cup stickers (pack comes with handles-- half with handles on the left and half with handles on the right) = Crafter's Square

10. stencil = repeating suns- filled sheet = Simple Stories

11. black gel pen = used to give some distinction for the sun and sun rays = Paper Mate's Ink Joy gel pen 4-color set

My Cozy Christmas Cocoa With Warm Spice Wishes card

why: This posting is featuring a Christmas card shaped as a cup and saucer. Food-wise there are text words for 'hot' and 'chocolate' plus black and dark brown swirl marks for liquid in the cup along with a gingerbread man cookie image. why: this posting features a non-design team project to share at several current challenge blogs owned by others. I was going through some scraps that were piling up on my kitchen table (that I took over for the past 2 years of so for my crafting work space) and found the dark brown scrap panel, the red slimline size and 2 pieces of the strawberry print that were large enough to use my circle punch on. Add some wood butterflies inked with Walnut brown  and the 'hello' with the same ink along with the 2 cute sloth stick-ons to make a cute encouragement card!

Most of 2025 has been different series with each DT member suggesting a topic/theme within that series. This round it is about using a certain supply item. DT member Alyson has asked for clear item(s). I've got a partially clear acrylic overlay (it has thin peach stripes and the mint + black banner printed on it) that is over big pink dotted paper as well as three clear gems!
