My Creations in Pink #93 DT card for 15 May 2026

why: I'm happy to say that I have now been a design team member for Marlene's Creations in Pink challenge blog for 3 months!! The monthly themes are always 'anything goes in mainly pink'. I chose K and Company's Antique Garden sticker book for 2 floral bouquets and also cut out from a printed sheet the frame floral image to serve as the focal. Add in some bright pink glitter paper, a pale pink fabric ribbon and then some bubblegum pink paper for a base to complete this 3rd design team project. 

when: #93 starts on May 15, 2026 and ends on June 12, 2026. (Keep in mind that there will be a June 15th/#94 session but there won't be a July 15-Aug 12 challenge. CIP owner Marlene is declaring that as a break.)

who: I'm Becca S, owner of this blog and 13 crafting challenge blogs! YES! My hobby of paper/hybrid crafting has become a super power hobby during the past 2-3 years! I started fine arts piano lessons when I was 6 years old and practical arts skills of sewing, cooking and baking when I was 9 years old. My parents were very supportive and even our grandmothers for my sister and I to try diverse crafts/hobbies. My sister did a lot better at crocheting than I did. I did better with sewing even in spite of being left-handed!! (Everything is designed for right-handed folks!!! grrrrr! :))

Loving my ConBC #13 for May 2025 DT art journaling card using Bingo Column Ii

1. one layer = thin index card = Jot (chicken ring set with covers and elastic band closure)

2. green = yellow-green of the Lemon Lime Twist stamp pad and then the grass green of Emerald Envy stamp pad = SU

3. free = grayish-purple stamp pad for butterflies and the postage stamp kind of journal stamp; lilac pink, yellow, orange, bright bold pink/magenta ink dots from markers; black ink from Hero Arts stamp pad

4. stamped images or text = both ==> plants, butterflies and journal text stamps are from Crafter's Square; girl image stamp is from Creative Devotion; 'you're kind of the best ever' stamp (might be SU; in unmarked plastic bag)

My MTTCC #107 Star shape base Christmas card project starts 28 Feb 2025

Why: This posting focuses on my manager/DT commitment to the design team at My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog; specifically #107. The theme for #107 was suggested by another DT member and is the last in our series of shaped-base Christmas cards. This time we require star-shape based Christmas topics. 

When: #107 starts February 28, 2025 and lasts for 13 days...and remember Feb 28 is the last day of the month; not the 30th or 31st. 

What: Star Light Wishes Christmas card

fine arts and practical arts for me started very young! Through 4-H Club at age nine-15 or 16, I started building my skills in cooking, baking, grilling, sewing, nature crafts, flower arranging, etc.

 Before that at age six, I started piano lessons but stalled around 7.5 years old then restarted from ages 9-17! Clarinet and bass clarinet lessons in the school bands started at age 10 -18. 

Card-making started in my mid-20s to late 20s and then around age 47, I discovered a message board swap group through Paper Wishes website that morphed into blogging around 2010!

Ally's Angels #76 Anything Goes Theme DT project for 10 November 2023

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!  Today's posting is about a challenge blog I co-own with the marvelous Leslie T called "Ally's Angels". It became available a year ago and both of us inquired about taking over. Thanks go to Leslie for managing everything. 

WHAT: AACB #76 Always Anything Goes

WHEN: #76 starts November 10 and lasts almost a full month

SHOW and TELL: most of the supplies for this card were recently received from a very generous artisan friend--my heart is overflowing with blessings!!! 

1. designer patterned papers are from 2 different Stampin' Up sets 

2. white card base left side fold; A2 size

3. stamp sets--2--Flights of the Butterfly for the flower winged butterfly stamp (without the outlining) and the sentiment; and the other is the leaf "confetti" from "Confetti"

4. center focal started with a white 2" circle; used a punch

5. center focal colored and accented with Arteza art markers (several different colors!); I don't remember all the names but the red is called Poppy Red and the beige/taupe color is called Condensed Milk!!!! That one cracked me up!!

6. a neon yellow highlighter was used to accent all the 'thanks' words in the text print SU paper= merci, danke, gratitude (those got blocked by the plaid square), thankful

7. black ink pad for ink edging of papers = Hero Arts

8. foam tape used to lift up the center circle
