My MTTCC #103 Tree shaped card DT project on 3 January 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why/purpose: NEW YEAR for MTTCC and we just continue to rollover from 2024. The design team gets topics in advance so that they can plan and prepare ahead of vacations, holidays, etc. if they so choose. For any artisan bloggers that have time available to craft around major holidays, we're open for them to have a space to participate. I've asked the DT to do a couple of months of shaped cards with each member suggesting a specific item or common shape symbol . Tree was suggested by another DT member.

My MTTC #545 monochrome theme slimline DT card for 18 October 2024

purpose: My post showcases the newest design team contribution for My Time To Craft challenge blog. #545 theme is monochrome and I chose my favorite color purple. This theme was suggested by another DT member.

notes: Thanks to my scrap pile purge of purples/violet/lavenders!!

Ally's Angels #77 Anything Goes Themed DT card for 10 December 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! I'm so excited to share another card made with some product received in a 'blessings' box from a fellow artisan! This came in the first week of October and it truly lifted my spirits. August and September were very stressful and exhausting months for my immediate family. Just one thing after another. This box was like letting the air out of my overinflated tires! Woosh! A lot of stress just disappeared. My heart just filled to overflowing in blessings! PTL!

Purpose: Ally's Angels challenge blog #77 anything goes theme DT/co-owner card

WHEN: December 10, 2023 is the start date and lasts almost a full month

SHOW and TELL:

1. designer patterned papers from 2 sets = Stampin' Up

2. black ink pad = Hero Arts

3. sentiment die-cut = Echo Park

5. double-sided adhesive tape and foam dimensional tape

7. a 2" punch was used for the smaller circles and the larger circle was traced using the inside ring of the adhesive tape roll!!! :)

MTTC #521 Got To Be Christmas theme DT card for 17 Nov 2023

Card #1= using very old stash of foam snowflake stickers that most have lost their stickiness; last minute make before the launch===>

Notes:

1. foam snowflakes in 5 colors = very old purchase from Oriental Trading

2. white and purple cardstock scraps= Neenah

3. "MC" gold foil and white glitter dazzles/stickers= Hot Off The Press

Ally's Angels #76 Anything Goes Theme DT project for 10 November 2023

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!  Today's posting is about a challenge blog I co-own with the marvelous Leslie T called "Ally's Angels". It became available a year ago and both of us inquired about taking over. Thanks go to Leslie for managing everything. 

WHAT: AACB #76 Always Anything Goes

WHEN: #76 starts November 10 and lasts almost a full month

SHOW and TELL: most of the supplies for this card were recently received from a very generous artisan friend--my heart is overflowing with blessings!!! 

1. designer patterned papers are from 2 different Stampin' Up sets 

2. white card base left side fold; A2 size

3. stamp sets--2--Flights of the Butterfly for the flower winged butterfly stamp (without the outlining) and the sentiment; and the other is the leaf "confetti" from "Confetti"

4. center focal started with a white 2" circle; used a punch

5. center focal colored and accented with Arteza art markers (several different colors!); I don't remember all the names but the red is called Poppy Red and the beige/taupe color is called Condensed Milk!!!! That one cracked me up!!

6. a neon yellow highlighter was used to accent all the 'thanks' words in the text print SU paper= merci, danke, gratitude (those got blocked by the plaid square), thankful

7. black ink pad for ink edging of papers = Hero Arts

8. foam tape used to lift up the center circle

Once Upon A Time DT project for December 2022

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My heart flip flops with some indecision, nerves, and excitement about creating for Once Upon A Time challenge blog. The owner, Deanne, picks a children's book to feature for each month. This blog is fairly new starting in August this year. A couple of times I've tried to replicate the cover as closely to the original and sometimes like this month, I'm just incorporating a few 'nods' to the book cover artwork.

December 2022 book is "The Legend of the Poinsettia" by Tomie dePaola (retold by and illustrated by)

Here's my interpretation--Presenting Gifts Christmas card=

From the book cover, to me it looked like the young girl is providing or presenting candlelight for her family and/or neighbors. I thought these cute woodland animal stickers with gift packages (The Paper Studio) could replace the candles (or what is being presented/provided).  Due to the size of the felt poinsettia, I've only included the one and then a cluster of paper scraps (green and white is The Paper Studio and wood & green tree cardstock scraps are Fancy Pants Designs) and a die-cut snowflake for color and winter seasonal accents. 

The blue and green chosen for the buffalo plaid cardstocks (The Paper Studio) are nods to the hills and leaves on the right side of the book cover.
