why/purpose: exciting introduction to the new year through Halloween and Other Occasions Crafts All Year Round challenge blog! The two main themes are Halloween and Birthdays which are my two projects for January. The optional January themes are Winter Fun and/or Hobby & Creativity.

1. the base print paper with color bands and white scenes (reverse side is tiny haunted houses print = Pixi Dust Designs

2. two stars with ghosts in their centers, bat, and 2 jack-o-lanterns are rub-on-transfers = Crafter's Square

purpose: This posting is a non-DT commitment card...and it could have been, should have been. But it's incredible that this is the 2nd project made in 2 days that hasn't been directly for 1 of my own competition blog commitments! YEA! 

when: card made on October 23rd and blogged/shared on October 24th

what: "Boo! Best Witches" Halloween card

notes: this is about 7.5" high x 5-5.25" wide

1. Creatology/Michael's = plastic/resin type stickers (bat, jack-o-lantern, 2 spiders, 1 spider in web) 

2. Simple Stories = Faboolous collection for large dot paper; striped print paper and 2 cut-apart cards

3. Pen + Gear (old) = tan/light kraft cardstock for base

4. black ink pad = Hero Arts

5. EK Tool = punch 2"-2.25" (used with the striped print paper)

what: Halloween Craft DIY Wood Decor 

notes:

1. DIY craft kit bought at Dollar Tree; didn't use the little 3 colors of paint and tiny brush that came with the wood piece; also not using the little rectangle stand holder

2. the glitter patches and star were the only items that came on it

3. a combination of alcohol markers and watercolor markers were used to add color to the plain balsa wood

*sorry, horrible storms, nearby tornado/circular rotation in our area for a bit and electricity out for 6 hours and 10 minutes. Just came back on at 6:10am central time!!!

purpose: this posting showcases my newest design team project for the always Halloween occasion for Halloween Crafts All Year Round. Owner Deanne expanded the challenge blog a couple of months back to Halloween And Other Occasions Crafts All Year Round....If I have time I will make projects for the other occasions in July: always birthday, Summer Olympics and my country's celebration, which might be Independence Day...

what: Halloween reminder DT project "Ghoul Evenin'"; almost a 1 layer card but decided to craft the ghost as a separate piece...I'm loving the result ---> 

notes:

1. dark purple glitter specialty paper 

2. multi stars stencil sheet = Crafter's Square

3. lowercase alpha stencil thick plastic template = very old Tupperware product (1980s)

4. silver/iridescent glitter paint plus the silver metallic paint pen and a white paint pen = Craft Skills

5. black dual-tip marker = also Craft Skills

6. white cardstock (ghost pattern made by me) = scrap piece = Neenah; more silver iridescent paint and black marker

Showcasing New DT work for HCAYR May 2024

purpose: starting May 1, 2024 I will be a design team member for Deanne's Halloween Crafts (and other occasions) All Year Round challenge blog; in April 2024 she decided to revamp this slightly and will have 3 other occasions as options in addition to Halloween

what: Set 1 are Halloween gift tags

notes for all 6 tags made during 1 craft session:

*ivory cardstock bases cut to ATC size (2.5" x 3.5") from Neenah

*ink colors were applied with cotton ball being pounced; using Tangerine Tango, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Fresh Fig from Stampin' Up classic ink pads; using Sugarplum small square ink pad by Lawn Fawn

*jute twine and 3 colors of cording are from stash

*all clipart images = free for personal use = The Clipart Library website

*all sentiments typed in a Google Doc

*black fine tip gel pen for outlining

additional notes for Set 1:

1. orange and purple plastic gems came in same package = Crafter's Square

and

Set 2 are two of the May 2024 other occasions: birthday and celebrate your country

(I chose not to do Father's Day.)

Firefighter tag = Path of Positivity; almost over/extended; anything goes encouraging with Power of Words/Love and Relationships; the firefighter tags are for 2 of my loved ones, my brother who is our hometown's fire chief (this is his 37th or 38th year as chief of the volunteer district) and he was a captain for 3 years before that; and now his 19 year old son started as a cadet at 15 and since his 18th birthday, is now considered a firefighter and has had some first responder training like his dad/my brother; these little tags are just a small token of my love and appreciation for all their doing
