My PRS #8 design team card for 2 Sept 2025

why: This post shares the next DT member contribution project for PRS or Paper-Rocks-Scissors, a challenge blog owned by artisan friend Deanne! The monthly theme is easy to do-- just use paper and/or scissors. 

when: #8 starts September 2 and ends on Sept 30, 2025. 

what: Project #1 = Memories of walking down the lane

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. papers/cardstocks: ivory light cardstock= 2 layers, 2- 2" x 4" print papers; paper ephemera with the sentiment, pointed finger and mini card scene

2. scissors: deckle-edge decorative scissors and regular straight-blade scissors

3. ivory card with matching envelope = from pack by Crafter's Square; I cut the card base into 2 panels and then 1 panel was trimmed smaller with deckle-edged scissors; dimensional foam tape between the 2 panels

4. bottom card base layer was inked = Narwhal/gray = mini stamp pad ink by Lawn Fawn

5. patterned papers are reverse sides to each other, pointed finger and mini card and sentiment/label = Memory Lane collection by Fancy Pants Designs

why: MTTC is in the midst of a supply theme requirement series and as the manager/DT, this is why I'm sharing my interpretation for the theme. Another DT member suggested that #565 requires usage of 2 or more patterned papers (also referred to as designer papers). 

when: MTTC #565 starts July 25, 2025 and will end 13 days later.

what: PROJECT #1= tropical vibe

1. pink cardstock base 6" square= Art Skills

2. four designer papers. started as 6" squares; trimmed to 5.5" x 5" and then divided into quarters = "Palm Springs" paper pad by My Mind's Eye 2018

Loving my HAOOCAYR design team card for 1 July 2025

why: This card is for my design team commitment for Halloween and other occasions crafts all year round by Deanne. I only had time to create 1 card for 1 of the 4 possible themes that are offered (Halloween, birthday, wildlife and/or ice cream)!

[We had a 5 day vacation trip from June 15-19 and then a weekend trip June 28-29 for one of my niece's wedding and reception. It was a 4.5-5 hour trip to the wedding location and then we stuck around for a family photo afterwards! The reception started at 3:30pm in a different town about 15-20 miles away and our chosen hotel room in between those locations! Because we were in southern IL and my hubby's heritage areas are Cape Girardeau and Saint Genevieve, MO, on Sunday morning we drove to Chester, IL to cross the Mississippi River in order to meander to St. Genevieve where his paternal grandparents are buried. We left flowers. Then we drove over an hour to St. Charles, MO to visit another cemetery to leave more flowers on his parents' graves, his first wife's and one of his nephew's. Then we met his sister at Bob Evans for lunch before we traveled back to north central IL about 4 hours or so. We were tired so we ended up stopping about every hour and switching places to drive! But overall we've had two terrific travel adventures in June! ]

Loving my AACB #87 DT stamped focal card for 15 October 2024

purpose: This posting is my newest co-owner/DT contribution for AACB or Ally's Angels Challenge Blog. The main owner and our manager is Leslie T. I'm just along for emergency situation(s) if they should arise. AACB is always 'anything goes' topics theme which makes it a wonderful general competitor to link up for any occasion or technique or theme you might be creating.

notes: this was made during the same crafting session as the AACB September DT project with triangles/prints used in opposite locations, different stamping arrangement and colors on the center focal (Sept's was more blues and greens)

notes for all 6 tags made during 1 craft session:

*ivory cardstock bases cut to ATC size (2.5" x 3.5") from Neenah

*ink colors were applied with cotton ball being pounced; using Tangerine Tango, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Fresh Fig from Stampin' Up classic ink pads; using Sugarplum small square ink pad by Lawn Fawn

*jute twine and 3 colors of cording are from stash

*all clipart images = free for personal use = The Clipart Library website

*all sentiments typed in a Google Doc

*black fine tip gel pen for outlining

*doily = don't know the vendor; this was gifted to me 

*lavender and white checked gingham paper just barely noticeable under the doily = Hot Off The Press

*red cardstock 6" tall x 5"wide = Art Skills

*wood laser cut cupid and the purple bling 'ribbon' wrap = Dollar Tree (cupid inked with red marker on the heart and purple marker on Cupid; then a red glitter paint pen added over the red and a purple glitter paint pen added over the purple)

Krafty Chicks #645 January 5-11 Guest Designer Project for Stamp Theme

those wintery whites, grays/silvery and light blue tones match very well to this idea I had --

July ATCs for Swap Group

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! The card crafting club, For The Love of Cards, through Facebook has moved onto its August events, so I'm sharing what I made in July 2022 with you. 

Alphabet Letter C

Beach/Tropical life

Red Rubber Stamp

All in Artist Trading Card size. The copper and the beach  were a tad over due to size of accents. 

Top to Bottom: Beach Life, Red Rubber, Letter C things

Coppery "Hi" dazzle (Paper Wishes website); copper sequins, copper Chrysanthemum, and a layered flourish die-cut stick-on with a coppery bronze flower all arranged onto mirrored foil and then on a kraft cardstock base. ( c is also for cursive; curves; circles; ....)

Another mirrored foil and kraft cardstock base and backdrop with blue scrap strips to simulate/faux water, tropical layered parrot stick-on, and a wood die-cut palm tree that's been painted brown on the trunk and green marker with a top layer of green glitter paint pen to add more shimmer. Definitely a tropical island beach scene! 

Teal cardstock for a different base and then easy make with an old sentiment red rubber stamp and 3 different stickers. The stamp is designed with the top and bottom swirled borders. Easy peasy.
