Mason Jar Lemonade Mug thinking of you card

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity!, a personal crafting blog!

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy former teacher! On August 12th, I drove almost 2 hours in the rain (and then return trip) to meet 2 childhood friends for lunch at a super cool bar/grill restaurant in Champaign, IL. We all met in kindergarten so many years ago!! I always enjoy our get-togethers!

1. white cardstock base (folded on most of left side) = Georgia-Pacific

2. Canary Yellow alcohol marker = Arteza

4. alphabet stencil ruler = not sure of vendor; this was found at my mom's house; I believe the set are at least 40-50 years old!!!!

5. mason jar mug with straw image = Super Coloring Pages website; free printable; sized to 2 per page; **note: the straw was a bendy style but I thought durability-wise, I better edit and make it a straight straw**

6. pink and burnt orange colored pencils for straw; gray colored pencil for lid & light highlights on the handle = stash box

8. lemon slice embellishment = by Dressed Up (lemon variety pack); bought through Office Supply website

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy blogger who has loved arts and crafts since childhood! I started piano lessons at age 6 and then through school band at age 10 I learned the clarinet. Later in 9th grade or so I switched to bass clarinet and even went to Illinois All-State Honors Band during my 11th grade. I've dabbled in candle-making, crocheting, liquid embroidery (paints), sewing, nature crafts, flower arranging and wreath-making, etc. 

where: This is a non-design team related creative project. It's page #7 in my Mixed Media Journal. 

when: MMMMJP #7 was created on Monday August 17, 2026 and blogged on Tuesday August 18. 

why: In 2025 and early 2026, I did a Monday journal of geometric designs inspired by the famous Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. When that journal was filled, I started random journal pages using mixed mediums.

My Ally's Angels #109 DT anything goes card for 15 August 2026

who: Hello, I'm Becca S and this is one of two personal crafting blogs I have to share all my inspirational projects for the 13 challenge blogs I own!

why: Ally's Angels has had 2 previous owners/co-owner. I was a 'silent' co-owner for AA before becoming sole owner. Ally's Angels has been an important anything goes challenge in the crafting-blog world. With the offset start date at mid-month, having this anything goes theme available at the end of the month is extremely important for busy artisans. 

what: G is for Globe-- Hey, friend! In this huge world, I'm very thankful that our paths crossed and we've been friends for years!

My Mixed Media Mondays Journal Page #6

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ artsy-craftsy loving blogger from the USA Midwest who has been doing fine arts and practical arts since age 6 with piano lessons. Gradually at age 9, I started 'officially' learned cooking, baking and sewing through 4-H Club. At age 10, learning to play the clarinet for 5th grade beginning band began. Being in a small rural school, I switched to bass clarinet around 9th grade. Flower arranging and nature crafts were added for 4-H and I even competed a few times in FHA organization (now known as FCCLA) doing flower arranging.

My Heart's Quest Fantasy #54 DT projects for 6 August 2026

who: Hello! I'm Becca S who has been doing crafting blogging since 2010! During the past few years I've grown my ownership of specialty niche crafting challenge blogs. On May 30 we spent the day at Lake Shelbyville and Clinton Lake (IL). June 9 I met two childhood/classmate girlfriends for a long lunch in Bloomington, IL. June 13 was spent at Lake Taylorville and Lake Lou Yaeger (IL). July 6 was spent again at Lake Shelbyville. July 13 was spent in Ottawa, IL. July 17 was a short trip over to Dwight, IL to see the Big Boy steam engine that is traveling across the country.

My Paper Rocks Scissors #19 DT project on 2 August 2026

why: The theme of PRS is always 'anything paper and/or scissors' goes. I always try to use both each time I create a design team project. I tend to go 'old school' methods anyway. I've got paper cutters and punches even die-cut/embossing plates machines but only use 2 shape punches a couple of times each month!

My Pinspirational #340 DT project for Jade and Peach color theme for 1 August 2026
