why: This card is being used as a reminder card for 3 of my challenge blogs: FarmQuest General Store and FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges and Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love. I'm going to get triple effort for this. FQGS' theme is anything farm and country goes. (bee, hive, honeycomb) and FQGGCB' theme is anything food goes. (honey/honeycomb) and HQCOLCB (birthday)

This is also my husband's birthday card for tomorrow. Don't worry, he doesn't use the computer or internet on his cellphone. So I'm safe to share today. :)

post's purpose...the why: This posting showcases two design team projects for Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog. The main theme is always anything goes fantasy and the #5/May focus option is Mermaid. I've got one AGF choice and 1 focus option cards. 

when: #5 in 2025 for HQFCB starts May 3, 2025 and ends on May 31, 2025.

what: PROJECT #1 = Fairies in the Woodlands card

notes for #1:

1. all the products except five are Fairy Garden collection = Fancy Pants Designs (NEW to me; order received about 2 weeks ago and this was the first time to delve into the 'big bundle pack' -- papers, enamel dots, ephemera pack and sticker sheet)

2. the patterned cardstocks' scallops were traced using a stencil = very old multi-pack = Pebbles

3. pink cardstock started as a 6" square; I used a glass dessert plate for my template!!! = Art Skills for the cardstock

4. green dual-tip marker to ink the edges and make little grass lines = Art Skills

5. green butterfly came in a multi-color pack without the dots; I added dots with a fine tip brown marker from my stash to help it contrast a bit against the fern ephemera and the fairy print cardstock. = Crafter's Square for the butterfly stick-ons

why: I'm continuing my evolving commitment with Ally's Angels! Back about 2+ years ago, I was a participant. Then I became co-owner/DT to assist the other co-owner/DT, Leslie, as she did the admin tasks. Recently she asked if I'd take over as she was changing her emphases and I quickly said yes. We keep rolling on. During the Feb 15-March 13 time frame, we had 2 new design team members make their project debuts so this is exciting to add different artistic styles into our mix for inspiration. We don't preplan, however we can see each other's completed projects if posted early in our group. It's interesting to see how or what influences our creativity. For me, this month it was trying my own stencil mask technique/process as I work on my inking and stamping skills!

Since the inception by artisan friend Leslie, I've been her emergency back-up co-owner + DT member. And she asked me recently if I'd like to be full owner. I jumped at the chance to keep this going. MTTCC #50 Theme is New Year's Day 2023 starts 23 December 2022

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My heart's always happy when I get to be creative and this sparkly New Year's Day card does put a smile on my face!

My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog can also be about other winter holidays, festivals, and observances held in December and January. We've chosen New Year's Day to be the focus for #50 (December 23, 2022 to January 5, 2023). 

My thoughts always connect New Year's Eve (glittery ball dropping in New York City) to the New Year's Day morning Rose Parade in Pasadena, California so when I saw this red and silver with purple glittery specialty paper in my scrap box, I had to have it as the focal. Add some red glitter ornaments and a bow, silver glitter numbers, clear iridescent gems, and multi-color foil greetings sticker for sparkle and shine to make this card festive and celebratory!

2022 MTTC April 8 #479 Springtime Insects Theme DT card

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! The 2 featured cards I've made are showing butterflies, my favorite insects! I've heard the quote many times calling butterflies as fluttering flowers or flying flowers! The complexity of color and design in their wings and how graceful they look has always fascinated me. So when as a DT member I learned about this theme, I knew I had many to choose from out of my stash.

Card #1= Pink and Black It's a Beautiful Life Birthday card

Card #1 design notes:

1. base is black, top-folded, 4.25" wide x 5.5" high, Pen + Gear

2. pink background panel, Astrobrights/Neenah

3. pink and white stripe panel, pink with white Xs, and the white with pink scallops, Mint Berry paper pad from The Paper Studio (this is my 2022 selected papers to bash this year; read earlier posts made in late January and early February about this)

4. the pink tonal floral strip and the featured sentiment journal card that was trimmed down are from My Mind's Eye, a collection I bought several years ago

5. embellishments: pale pink crystal gem, message stamp, black ink pad, and the corrugated backed butterfly are all stash items; I took off the corrugated butterfly layer and stamped it black in order to disguise the kraft color since this card also fits for a Pink and Black card swap challenge that only allowed white as an additional neutral

Card #2: Hello and Happy Birthday card=

Isn't this lovely! I'm glad I kept the color combination simplified. When I started assembling items to make this, I thought I wanted the base to be a pale peach/blush pink or to go to a bold orange but the chocolate brown won the dilemma!

Design notes for Card #2=

1. brown cardstock base is about 6" wide and 4.25" high; 

2. the pale green and white floral cardstock; Mint Berry pack from The Paper Studio

3. the olive green and crinkled copper/bronze specialty paper are scraps; cut as 2" squares

4. the white hello is a 'dazzle' from Paper Wishes website

5. the butterflies, amber heart crystal gems, sentiment stamp, black ink pad; stash items

6. an aqua/teal blue marker was used to add outline contrast to the thin font lines of the stamp used to make 'happy birthday'

ATC--"What's buzzing?"

A few design notes about the ATC/artist trading card:

1. typical ATC size of 2.5" x 3.5"; thick kraft cardstock for base

2. the white with spring green Moroccan tile patterned paper is very old Colorbok bold print photo mat paper pad

3. the green and gold chevron stripe 'tag'--what's shown is only about half; the flower and bee are stash item embellishments; I just got a bunch of tag sets and I've already forgotten who the vendor is on this...sorry

Queen Anne's Lace Get Well Card

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Greetings! Today's card took me about 40 minutes to make and features 3 patterned designs from the Mint Berry paper pad that I'm intending to bash in 2022. Previous cards made with MB designs have been love/Valentine's theme but I'm needing to take time for sympathy and get well cards before I create more for V-Day.

The base cardstock is actually a pale peach from a multicolor pack from Astrobrights/Neenah. So the border sticker was picked because it has an orange posy in its repeat and I had the deep orange glitter posy stick-on to give more orange to this mostly gray and sage green card. I know the posies don't match the Queen Anne's Lace on the patterned cardstock but they were picked for their colors rather than their shape/type. :)

1. Mint Berry paper pad is from The Paper Studio circa 2016. I purchased at end of 2017 or start of 2018. The 20 designs x 4 each of the original 80 sheets are horizontal formatted and are about 4.25" x 6.25". About 7-10 days ago, I decided to make this my personal crafting challenge for 2022 to try to use it all up. (63 full sheets + 3 scraps and I'm now to about 59 sheets)

c. charcoal gray with white x's 

2. sage green solid color cardstock scrap is from Pen + Gear

3. black inked edge and stamping made with other stash supplies

4. embellishments have been in my supplies for awhile too...good to get these used
