why: The purpose for this posting is to showcase my DT member inspiration project for Pin-spirational Challenge #335 with the theme/color combo of green and gold. I had the perfect watercolor swirl print cardstock and have chosen to use it as the base and minimize the layers and embellishments to show as much of the printed CS.

My Paper Rocks Scissors #13 DT project February 2026

why: this posting focuses on my latest design team project for Deanne's Paper Rocks Scissors challenges blog. The theme is use paper and/or scissors. For #13/Feb 2026 I used 3 paper products and then used scissors to cut the base paper. Also not showing, I used scissors for adhesive dual-sided tape strips. 

when: #13 starts February 2 and opened for the rest of the month

what: Project #1 = Just a (love) note

how-to & vendor notes for #1 =

**papers: white satin sheen paper for the base; envelope used for a design feature; and the mini card

**scissors: used to cut the white satin sheen paper for the size needed; not showing are the usages for cutting strips of dual-sided adhesive tape

1. white satin sheen specialty paper = trimmed to be 2-3/8th wider = came in a scraps pack = Crafter's Square

2. envelope (not used as an envelope but more like a design feature and unique location for the stamped sentiment) and the note paper style mini card with flower = both from Round Trip stationery pack by Maggie Holmes 2021; American Crafts

3. 'just a note' stamp = came in a mixed expressions clear stamp set in an unmarked bag

4. brown/Walnut mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn (for stamping)

5. mid-brown retractable marker pen = Zebra Clickart (for outlining the pale pink enamel heart)

6. a dark brown marker to outline the mini card and the envelope = stash item

7. pale pink enamel heart and the 3 diff colors of pinks enamel dots = same package = Freckled Fawn

My Pin-spirational #334 DT project with red and pink color theme on 1 Feb 2026

why: This posting spotlights my second design team project for Pin-spirational Challenges owned by artisan/blogger friend Deanne. The themes in 2026 are color combinations. Pin-spirational #334 color combo = red and pink. I've used more pink tones than reds but the reds are there in the dots of the scalloped border and outlining of the border and chain of hearts. There is a small spot in the watercolor swirled print CS that gets close to dark red just above the light pink heart on the right side. In person, there are neon pinks so the contrast of tones is greater. 

when: #334 starts on February 1, 2026 and ends on Feb 28; which is the last day in February this year (no leap year). 

what: Project #1 = "Love you always"

2. the middle heart cut-out (and scalloped border) is actually a neon bright pink = Astrobrights/Neenah

5. red and magenta markers for dotting in the scalloped border and just red for outlining of the border and the heart cut-outs

9. Condensed Milk color alcohol marker to change the K & Co stickers' white margins to pale beige; I did this since the other stickers have clear margins; not as noticeable

Loving my Ally's Angels #101 DT project on 15 December 2025

why: This posting showcases my newest design team (DT) inspiration project for Ally's Angels, a crafting challenge blog. The theme is always anything goes. For quite awhile for my AA design projects I've used old neglected stamps, maybe a few newer stamps and/or inked focal area or backgrounds. I'm going to continue this into 2026. New to me, first usages, for the plants/leaves & flowers frame stamp & the 'thinking of you' stamp from Bo Bunny are used for #101's focal!

Loving some appreciation cards for my #45 HS reunion

why: This posting is a showcase of three different thank you appreciation cards that I've made for my other planning committee members for our #45 high school class reunion!!! Crazy!! Sometimes it seems that long ago and then other days, it only feels like it's been half of that time. Now hair styles, eye glasses, clothing are all easy giveaways to the time period...1980!!! 

when: in late May 2025 it was officially 45 years ago that we graduated from a small eastern IL school district! Our reunion weekend is July 18-19, 2025.

what: Project #1 = one of the planning committee members is hosting us Saturday night in his deluxe machine shed! He and his wife did tables and chairs, had blue tablecloths on each table and provided white, yellow and blue silk flowers for decorations.  I chose to make them an easel style fold/ dimensional card =

why: I've been part of Ally's Angels as a participant before original owner/creator Alessandra ended her ownership. Then Leslie and I became co-owners with Leslie wanting the administrative tasks. So I was the emergency back-up and part of the DT like she also was. Then in late fall 2025, Leslie asked if I'd take over. 

Ebb and flow has occurred continuing on to provide artisans an 'anything goes theme' challenge that works on an offset month-long time frame.

what: Scripted butterflies 1 layer wonder card

notes:

1. white A2 cardstock base with envelope from pack = Recollections

purpose: My posting showcases 2 autumn themed cards that are my co-owner/DT contributions for Ally's Angels #88. One card is full of die-cuts and chipboard stickers. The other has a round center focal that was inked and stamped.

what: PROJECT #1 = Family -- thankful late autumn card

notes for #1:

1. darker orange cardstock base = Art Skills

2. coral leaf with kraft print paper strip and light green leaf with kraft print paper panel = SU

3. tonal green stripe paper panel plus dark floral print paper + 3 die-cuts + 3 chipboard stickers (2 spiders and 1 crow) = "Faboolous" collection by Simple Stories

4. 'family' and 'thankful' text stickers = "The Simple Life" by Simple Stories

5. black ink pad = Hero Arts

6. foam tape under the dark floral print paper and the brown textured panel = stash

purpose: this posting showcases my latest Design Team contribution for the #547 challenge at My Time To Craft or MTTC. Another DT member suggested the topic of 'thank you' for this next fortnight time period. 

when: #547 starts November 15th and ends on the 28th. 

what: So Thankful for friends card

notes:

1. tan/kraft cardstock cut to 4.75" square = old Pen + Gear

2. loose feathers and leaves cardstock cut to 5" square = Recollections

3. plaid 6" paper square = SU (Sweater Weather; old set)

4. wood stamps 4 set (bunny, hedgehog, deer and fox) = Recollections (recent purchase and first time to use the set!!!)

5. 'so thankful' stamp = old; I think it's either Studio G or Hampton Arts

6. black ink pad = Hero Arts

7. for the animals = ink pads from SU (dapper denim for the bunny, Wild Wasabi for the hedgehog, artichoke for the deer, 

8. plant stamps (part of a mix set) = Crafter's Square

purpose: It's really rare lately between being my mom's caretaker and then her passing with 3+ hours of babysitting on every weekday plus household, bills, doggie, crafting & blogging for DTs, etc. to create for just other competitions. If I had made this last week or two, I could have used this bookmark for MTTC or HAOOCAYR (old HCAYR).

what: Gal Pal Bookmark in honor of breast cancer awareness month; pink color; monochrome; 

notes:

1. pink cardstock = Neenah

2. 'Girl Boss' stamp (just part of it) = American Crafts/

4. star stencil = Simple Stories; black ink transferred using a cotton tip swab
