Late Harvest Thankful Time Card non DT project on 9 Nov 2024

purpose: This posting features a new creative project that is not for any current DT commitment. YEA!

what: 

notes:

1. sketch layout from Cheerful Sketches challenge blog (photo below)

2. orange dots print, pumpkin vine lattice print, black with tiny dots print and rust tone stripes print = Faboolous paper pad = Simple Stories

3. pumpkin, soybean (left) plus the dark rust flowers with smaller soybeans die-cuts = Faboolous ephemera pack = Simple Stories

4. text strip sticker = The Simple Life sticker book = Simple Stories

5. the orange tonal crinkled print paper scrap strip = stash

6. dark orange cardstock trimmed a 1/2" = Recollections (4.5" x 6.5")

A. Cheerful Sketches; started Nov 1st; must keep the sections but it can be rotated a quarter turn ===>> which I did for the base but kept the 5 rows on a vertical yet shorter height. The oval space is also smaller. Mathematically, the width of my strips vary from the sketch but I still have 5 vertical sections and 1 horizontal band.

what: #192 theme is "You're A Star" = Star-Studded Birthday Wishes card 

notes: I didn't do the pink and white of the IYGACAC photo badge but I've got lots of stars scattered around the card

1. blue and yellow-orange cardstocks; also the orange watercolor toned paper = Art Skills

2. lime green cardstock strip = Art Skills

3. gray cardstock = Neenah

4. five alcohol markers for striping the gray cardstock strip = Arteza

MIUCB #63 DT inspiration for 1 January 2023

This personal paper-crafting blog post is featuring my design team inspiration for my commitment with Mix It Up challenge blog! #63 is about anything goes with an option of  'no stamping'. 

The MIUCB #63 runs from January 1-February 15, 2023. 

Off and on throughout 2022 I used a few acrylic paints and a gold glitter tempera paint for some mixed media experimenting sometimes with just dabbing and swirling and sometimes with stencils. 

I'm continuing to use acrylic paints and 2 stencils for a New Year's Day card. =
