Loving my HQFCB #12 DT projects AGF theme choice gnomes plus option angels on 7 Dec 2024

purpose/why: these two DT/owner projects are my December 2024 commitments to Heart's Quest Fantasy (the former TFATU) challenge blog. 

when: #12 for 2024 starts December 7, 2024

what: PROJECT #1 = AGF main theme choice of gnomes

and with the set of index cards being used for art journaling variation

notes for #1 = the metal ring index card set has the plastic cover with the elastic belly band/closure bought for $1.25 plus tax many months ago at one of my local Dollar Tree stores; made by Jot

1. standard index card size; however very thin, lightweight

2. five/5 ink stamp pads by SU used = chocolate chip/brown, rose red, pink pirouette, emerald envy and lemon-lime twist

3. clear stamps are all part of a set = Pixi Dust Designs

4. black ink stamp pad for the stamping = Hero Arts

what: PROJECT #2 = fantasy focus option of angels for December

21. angel/fairy image = Blessed Crafters freebie offered by Mynn K (have to join her FB group to have access to her weekly freebie images); I altered this a bit to make her more like a heavenly creature

22. the die-cut text was also altered with purple marker ink for 2 reasons: message emphasis on 2 key words and for the red lettering to go partially away and have the emphasized words in purple to match the angel's dress/robe = Pink Paislee

23. text strips = Simple Stories

24. gold bling border sticker = Crafter's Square

25. gold herringbone print cardstock = Recollections

26. glittery purple linen specialty paper = stash

27. royal blue cardstock = Neenah

D. angels = As You Like It; current; Gold? Silver? Glitter? favorite and why =

most of the time I like to mix metallics like I did on this Christmas card with lots of gold and some silver; for me, it's interesting to get the different tones of colors and sheens and makes for more creative attraction!

3. pumpkin, soybean (left) plus the dark rust flowers with smaller soybeans die-cuts = Faboolous ephemera pack = Simple Stories

6. dark orange cardstock trimmed a 1/2" = Recollections (4.5" x 6.5")

A. Cheerful Sketches; started Nov 1st; must keep the sections but it can be rotated a quarter turn ===>> which I did for the base but kept the 5 rows on a vertical yet shorter height. The oval space is also smaller. Mathematically, the width of my strips vary from the sketch but I still have 5 vertical sections and 1 horizontal band.

Loving this AACB #80 DT inspiration card using 3 stamps for 10 March 2024

purpose: this posting is to share my contribution to Ally's Angels which is an anything goes theme competition challenge blog

when: #80 starts March 10 and lasts for almost a full month

what: I've discovered lately that my stamp collection has been neglected and I need to purposely start using them! So here's "A Trio of Roses"= 

notes:

1. pink cardstock base and white cardstock panel = Neenah

2. pink threads specialty paper = stash

3. three stamps from set by Creative Devotion/American Crafts

4. rose stamp was used 3 times, the lines came stacked liked that to be used whatever direction you want and I thought to make them look like stems; 'love' is just 1 of 3 words included in the set; there is also a laurel wreath, a heart, a bundle of dash marks.

5. roses were colored with a combination of markers and colored pencils; the letters of love were also filled with a soft pink colored pencil; and the white stamped panel was outlined with a red marker
