why: This posting showcases my newest design team (DT) inspiration project for Ally's Angels, a crafting challenge blog. The theme is always anything goes. I decided to do lots of stamping with lots of ink colors! Added more color with tiny dots to fill the spaces around the stamped features!  Pretty!

My Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog at TFATU #11 DT projects on 1 Nov 2025

why: The purpose of this personal blog posting is to showcase my owner/DT inspiration projects for Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog or HQFCB. We're still using the old TFATU address and I'm hoping to give HQFCB it's own blog address in 2026. For now, we can be found through The Fairy And The Unicorn. During 2024 and 2025 we've been having a fantasy focus option each month with November's having 2 options: Yeti and/or Abominable Snowman. We want to help our readers and participants to work ahead and get ready for the holiday and winter season activities and/or New Year wishes. The main theme is always 'anything goes fantasy'. Not whimsical. The creatures, characters or accessories need to be connected to fantasy fiction books/movies, mythology and/or fairy tales. 

I've chosen to have Project #1 as a little pumpkin shaped card showing a pumpkin house and gnome for AFG theme. He still has flowers blooming and has his watering can in his hands, ready to go!

For Project #2 I've chosen a Bigfoot clipart image for the November fantasy focus option.

Loving my HQFCB at TFATU #9 September 6th AGF theme projects

why: The purpose of this post is to highlight two new owner/DT inspiration projects for HQFCB at TFATU. That's Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges blog. #9 is our monthly theme of 'anything goes fantasy' and the focus option for September is genie(s). So I chose to do a male genie plus use a Christmas Fairy digital image that I've had for several years. 

when: #9 starts September 6th (the first Saturday of the month) and ends on September 30, 2025. 

what: Project #1 = Male Genie and his lamp

how-to & vendor notes for #1: intended as a birthday wish card

1. bright blue cardstock base 5"x 7" = Pen + Gear

2. light blue tonal French script patterned paper = very old stash item; hoarded piece; not sure of the vendor since it's been over 10 years ago

3. geometric print cardstock with glitter and some embossing = also another very old stash item; probably over 8 years old...possibly DCVW or however those letters were arranged

4. yellow with white marks patterned paper = SU

5. blue copy paper used to print the genie image = assortment pack = Essentials by Colorbok

6. light yellow cardstock scrap = assortment pack = Neenah

7. male genie clip art image sized to 3.5" x 5" = downloaded and printed from The ClipArt Library website; free for personal use. This is one of three free for personal use genie images available on a page found on the HQFCB blog. 

8. dark raspberry colored pencil used for the genie's waist sash and an aqua blue colored pencil used for the bottom/pants area of the genie; also a blue glitter paint marker used over the colored pencil for the bottom = all stash items

9. black stamp pad ink for perimeters of papers/cardstocks = Hero Arts

10. little old gold looking puffy 'screws' and flowers stickers = from a mixed set of steam punk type shapes = Crafter's Square

As You Like It; started Jan 9; theme of favourite paper brand; on this card there are 5 cardstocks and 1 paper purchased as my first order for a company new-to-me that will become my new favorite brand ---> (1) because the company's based not too far from me in neighboring Indiana! probably less than a 2 hour drive away! I could have saved on shipping maybe!!! Up to now, most of go-to for cardstocks are Neenah, Pen + Gear and Recollections and the print/patterned papers are Echo Park, Fancy Pants Designs, Simply Simple, and a few others; (2) supporting several artisan friends who are on the new Design Team, too;

Loving my HQFCB #12 DT projects AGF theme choice gnomes plus option angels on 7 Dec 2024

purpose/why: these two DT/owner projects are my December 2024 commitments to Heart's Quest Fantasy (the former TFATU) challenge blog.

what: PROJECT #1 = AGF main theme choice of gnomes

and with the set of index cards being used for art journaling variation

notes for #1 = the metal ring index card set has the plastic cover with the elastic belly band/closure bought for $1.25 plus tax many months ago at one of my local Dollar Tree stores; made by Jot

1. standard index card size; however very thin, lightweight

2. five/5 ink stamp pads by SU used = chocolate chip/brown, rose red, pink pirouette, emerald envy and lemon-lime twist

3. clear stamps are all part of a set = Pixi Dust Designs

4. black ink stamp pad for the stamping = Hero Arts

21. angel/fairy image = Blessed Crafters freebie offered by Mynn K (have to join her FB group to have access to her weekly freebie images); I altered this a bit to make her more like a heavenly creature

22. the die-cut text was also altered with purple marker ink for 2 reasons: message emphasis on 2 key words and for the red lettering to go partially away and have the emphasized words in purple to match the angel's dress/robe = Pink Paislee

23. text strips = Simple Stories

24. gold bling border sticker = Crafter's Square

25. gold herringbone print cardstock = Recollections

most of the time I like to mix metallics like I did on this Christmas card with lots of gold and some silver; for me, it's interesting to get the different tones of colors and sheens and makes for more creative attraction!

purpose: This post celebrates My Time To Craft Christmas Challenge Blog's #100 theme competition. It was my turn to suggest the topic and decided to have celebratory red and silver color combo Christmas/winter holiday cards. 

when: #100 starts November 22, 2024 and ends December 5, 2024. 

what: Red and Silver Christmas Sweet Treats card =

1. red cardstock slimline format = old Pen + Gear

2. gray cardstock = old Neenah

3. candy cane punched circle cardstock = Bella Blvd.

4. white painted wood (almost looks like birch) paper = Hot Off The Press

5. gingerbread note pad sheet = very old stash item

6. black ink pad = Hero Arts

7. peppermint candies stickers and silver snowflake stickers are from separate packages = Hallmark

8. clear iridescent gems= stash

9. foam dots support the gray panel for some dimension

Note: I own FQHSKCB and FQGGCB which are food content related challenge blogs. For FarmQuest HomeStyle Kitchen think of it as anything food goes or even as anything kitchen goes. Dinnerware, glassware, recipes, aprons, spatulas, measuring cups, candy, cookies, cocoa, etc. are welcomed there anytime. For FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges think of it like a very popular Food Network cable TV show.
