My CCMWF group Scripture Encouragement Card Swap October 2026

who: Hello, I'm Becca S, an artsy-craftsy blogger! I don't refer to my faith in God on every blog post but it is an integral part of me since my salvation about 1 month before my 11th birthday! My dad was pastoring in a small village along the Wabash River between Terre Haute and Clinton, Indiana that was known as Shepherdsville Bible Church. The original church building on that property was a Methodist church that closed when someone missed the T-intersection on a late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and plowed into it. The small congregation decided that financially they'd close and sell the property. My dad and the small group of church deacons had it bulldozed and then built a new structure in 2 phases: SS rooms, nursery, restrooms and an open fellowship (early meeting area) was built first and then the sanctuary auditorium was built second. I was saved during a revival meeting during the church's maybe 7th year. The evangelist, Billy Kellogg, had been preaching several nights and cognitively I realized on Thursday night that I was a sinner and I needed to repent, ask God for forgiveness and accept Jesus as my Savior. 

where: CCMWF is a closed group on FB. Christian Card Makers Women's Fellowship. We share religious/Scriptural cards/text that we do along with Scripture verse monthly journaling and then have an optional monthly Scripture included encouragement card swap event. 

when: October 2026; [My swap partner received/posted my card on Oct 24th and I received hers on Oct 27th and posted on 28th. So publishing the post on Oct. 29th.]

why: This blog post is being written and published to show the card that I created for my group swap match. I can't share the card online until after she posts it to the group that she's received it. I'm mailing the card to her on October 15th.

how:

1. left side fold white A2 size card w/ white envelope = part of pack = Crafter's Square

2. dark olive green print paper, striped paper and leaves print paper = Woodland Forest paper pad by Pebbles

3. tag = Farmstead Harvest ephemera package = American Crafts

4. Scripture verse label = Google Doc + KJV Bible online to copy verse text ==> print on white cardstock and fussy cut this verse; I did 4 different verses with 3-4 copies of each to fit a 1 page document. Different fonts and font sized were changed between verses and sometimes with a verse's copies. 

5. outer perimeter of the green print paper was fussy cut with zig-zag scissors = Wescott

6. brown dual-tip marker = Jot to outline just the tag and verse to have focal attention

7. amber/gold tone rhinestone gems = Nicole Brand Crafts; self-adhesive

8. the inside has a yellow paper 'ticket' punched shape; stamped with 'thank you' (Hero Arts)
