MTTCC #47 Theme is Elves or Gnomes starting 11 November 2022

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! As I keep saying every 2 weeks, my heart gets excited about crafting Christmas cards! This one is no exception. The layout did bother me a bit but instead of doing a horizontal, my focal image appeared better to me in a vertical slimline form.

My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog's #47 theme requires elves or gnomes. It's okay to use just 1 like I have. Online talented friend Mary Smith (Createful Heart Design) drew this adorable envelope- holding gnome.

6. an old white stamp pad was applied with smearing motions in order to give the paper scraps' edges a snowy touch

Mary is half of the dynamic couple that own Createful Heart Designs. The CHD challenge blog has "anything goes" theme/non-theme so I've decided to use the image for a birthday greeting card.

CHD 15 July 2021 no 34 Anything Goes Theme Challenge Month features 2 DT Cards

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart is super excited to be able to showcase 2 digital images from the CHD Etsy shop! Owner Mary Smith and her husband both contribute to their inventory and have been busy designing new digital images. Mary agreed to let me use the "Snow Gnome" digi created just this week!! It is THAT new! There are so many other challenge blogs having Christmas in July themes that I wanted to hurry and use "Snow Gnome" for the July competition. And then several weeks back with summertime in my thoughts, I asked Mary if I could use the "Tropical Bird Rain Forest" digi for this July 15th release posting date. She said yes, so that will be showcased in this post, too. So fun. This vibrant rain forest scene will be perfect for an aunt's birthday whose grandson is in Costa Rica. Andrew and his wife just had their first baby, a girl, just a few weeks ago. Not only is Andrew her oldest grandchild/grandson, his daughter is her first great grandchild! I think she's going to love this image!

MTTC theme to make it beachy focus starts 25 June 2021

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My Time To Craft challenge blog has a great new theme challenge that got my artsy-crafty heart excited to try something a bit different. I wanted to do a framed paper-crafted home décor that will go in a glass photo frame very soon. I also wanted to do a paper peeling type layered collage so imagine a light filled airy sky that transitions to water, some grass, and some soil/sand. It's as if the flamingo is dancing on the beach...maybe even on her own island! :)

a. cardstocks are either manufactured by Neenah/Astrobrights or Pen + Gear

b. wooden die-cut palm trees were a brighter painted green; I applied green glitter paint pen on top of each tree

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart had to make a card miracle tonight because we unexpectedly became pet parents tonight of "Junior"! A little nine year old dog that is a Dachshund and Poodle mix. This is on a trial basis. For us and him. In 25 years of marriage we've not been pet owners, so we will see how we adjust.

MTTC challenge theme focus of florals starts 28 May 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart tends to favor flowers and butterflies so I just had to go on a quest through my supplies to see what I could find. The image featured here was used back in February for another challenge blog and with the artist/company/blog owner's permission I'm showcasing it for MTTC's new floral theme. This new challenge theme for MTTC's #458 will go for 2 weeks or to June 10th. 

I've colored the image a little differently plus printed it on a soft yellow cardstock compared to February's usage. The two patterned papers are very old but I've been paper-hoarding them and trying to use small sections because I really like the chocolate brown tones with the deep pinks. More creative design notes to follow. For the theme of florals, the image has the mouse presenting the large flower to the hedgehog, a small pink flower sticker for embellishing, and the patterned paper sandwiched between the "Hello" and the image has some flowers. Introducing...
