Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity and this posting is about using the stash item of foil or products with foil/metallic foil for Christmas cards. 52 CCT is Christmas Card Throwdown and this is Week 8 of 52 for 2020 (or for starting the 4th week of February).
I decided for my design team inspiration card for 52 CCT blog that I would go old school using kitchen foil laid over a snowflake texture plate. Using a mechanical pencil's eraser I gently pressed over the texture plate to create an embossed/impressed image and then took permanent markers to highlight the impressed spots.
I've currently got this card resting on top of my printer and at an angle it looks great (as opposed to this flat scanner photo...sorry). It's not perfect due to several spots of the marker smearing before the ink dried. Yet the green tone of the snowman's scarf is a spot-on match to the cardstock background that is on a white flat card base and little details like that make my heart happy!

DeleteYou often only need one thing, a good idea! And you had a very good one to perform this technique without much material! This way was perfect for the aluminium foil! Rosi x
