Inspired By Challenge 22 with industrial charm theme

Industrial charm...masculine

a. strong lines and shapes
b. dark colors
c. wheels (scalloped circles to imitate)

Sympathy card for a church friend who lost his wife recently and suddenly:

Industrial Charm is the #22 issued challenge from Laurel Seabrook Designs:

The stamped stacked blocks were a great industrial way to have the main part of the sentiment. And the range of browns, grays, black, and a touch of pine green keep the color palette dark and reminiscent of city buildings and manufacturing plants.

Until next post,

  1. Such a great card! I'm a sucker for grids so I love that grid paper and those shapes down the side. Thanks for playing at Inspired By :)

    1. It was a good way to get INSPIRED to make a sympathy card for a gentleman I've known since I was about 15, whose wife passed suddenly from a stroke a few weeks ago. And I'm hoping I can use the challenge to get 1 or 2 more cards made for upcoming fellas' birthdays. Thanks for the feedback, Laurel!

    1. Danni, Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Their 2 children were in youth group at same time as me. The son is several years older and his sister just a year older (different school districts). Through Facebook we've been able to stay connected however. I appreciate the feedback, Danni!
