Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!
post's purpose...the why: DTST series is Don't Throwaway Scraps Thursday #4 installment with a 'leaves in the wind' notecard and
the when: Thursday April 3, 2025
the what: Project #1 notecard "Leaves in the wind" =
1. the base is cut from what's left from a sheet of neon green (scanner toned down) = Astrobrights Neon Pack by Neenah
2. all the other specialty papers came in scraps packs = Crafter's Square; pieces were measured so there would be at least 1/4" difference between each scrap piece
3. the wooden leaf shapes from a pack (were plain) = Crafter's Square
4. the lime green leaf was inked with Pea Green alcohol marker = Arteza
5. the darkest one is stamped/inked with Always Artichoke = SU
6. the teal and other greens = markers from my stash (different vendors)
7. "Just a Note" stamp from a set of different messages = Art Skills; wood red rubber stamp
and
the what #2: Project #2 = Butterflies quilt notecard
the how-to notes #2:
21. green cardstock base panel approx. 4" wide x 6" high = Pen + Gear
22. under base with scrap strips adhered; neon yellow = Astrobrights Neon pack/Neenah; also used for the 'hi!' circle
23. the 'quilt' scraps are mostly from Art Skills; pale blue is Neenah; white satin paper is Crafter's Square; tan is Sandcastle Tan by Martha Stewart and distributed through CutCardStock
24. wooden shape butterflies from a pack were plain = Crafter's Square
25. "Canary Yellow" alcohol marker = Arteza
26. butterfly image was recycled from a kids mini notepad = vendor ?; discovered at my mom's house
27. black dual-tip marker = Art Skills
