My Christmas or not Bingo Challenges #19 DT card for 1 May 2026

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity, a personal crafting blog.

who: Hi! I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy with a mish-mesh style who enjoys blogging about my creations and being an owner of many crafting challenge blogs.

An interesting fact about one of my favorite sewing projects: I created and sewed my wedding dress!!! YES! In January we celebrated our 30th anniversary. I was still sewing the hem during the early hours of our wedding day! I spent about $200 to buy silk shantung fabric, some lace trim and a large lace applique for the bodice, 2 patterns (taking the bodice of 1 and the skirt and 'bustle' of the other to merge together), beads, a beaded headband and netting for my headpiece plus notions like thread, interfacing and a very long zipper.

where: Christmas or Not Bingo Challenges (look at the bottom for the bingo board and the #19 blog post link)

when: #19 starts May 1, 2026 and ends six weeks later on June 15, 2026.

why: I've been sole owner of ConBC for about a year.

what: Project #1: Friendship tag

how for Project #1: using column B (see the bingo board image at the bottom of the post)

1. TAG= layered; chunky size tag

a. black linen textured cardstock = Art Skills

b. white thin CS that was punched = Jot

c. 'ticket' punch = EK Success

2. MONOCHROME = RED with white and black neutrals;

a. red paper = scrap paper pack = Crafter's Square

b. red crystal gems = Nicole Brand Crafts

c. also the washi tape(s) cut-outs have red = washi-tape strips that came with 3 designs per small sheet; I was given several of the sheets many years ago and still have 2 or 3 strips yet to go!

d. also the fabric ribbon has red = spool = Crafter's Square

3. FREE =

a. puffy stars and dots = Freckled Fawn

b. text stickers (with, you, remember this moment) and a circle sticker with leafy stem = Simple Life sticker book by Simple Stories

c. black fine tip marker for tracing circles (using objects on my craft table) = Sharpie

4. WASHI TAPE = the half striped & half red heart was cut from a paper tape strip; and the red with white text arrow was cut from a different paper taper strip; both are by the same company = company unknown; received in a kindness box from another crafter about 5 years ago.

5. FIBER/WOVEN FABRIC = red and black plaid fabric ribbon, two strips = Crafter's Square

LINK-UPs for #1:

  3. What a fun card with the geometric art influence! I love looking at your work; it always inspires me to learn art genres. This tag led me to a great read about Geometric Abstraction and now I want to try something in that style! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us at The Outlawz Anything but a Card. Katrina PS...I also enjoyed your wedding dress story; I would love to see pictures.
