March 2020 Week 1 or Ninth Christmas Card for 52 CCT using its sketch

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Today's post features #9-20 for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog which is for the 1st Saturday of March and our designated rotation for a sketch challenge.

For card #1 the focus was to alter the background area a bit of a small offset 2nd patterned paper and then have a dramatic focal=

I decided to focus on colors of kraft beige, metallic gold, and rose gold/pink for this card #2=

Some design notes for #1=
a. patterned papers are from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby
b. the dark red card base, 5 x 7, was purchased from The Paper Source
c. the silver glitter snowflake is an ornament
d. 2 colors of gems used for embellishments
e. some silver glitter paint (pen) was applied where the 2 patterned papers meet

Design notes:
a. the gems are actually light pink
b. the alpha stickers were to sort of look like a tree shape and help fill the same spot shown on the sketch by the star
c. metallic pink foil is a strip from a Bo Bunny Christmas collection paper pad
d. if I have time I might try to create another card either with the layout in the same position or rotating it....
