My MTTC #566 DT theme to use something clear starting 8 August 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: This posting is for my manager and DT commitment to MTTC or My Time To Craft, a crafting challenge blog. Most of 2025 has been different series with each DT member suggesting a topic/theme within that series. This round it is about using a certain supply item. DT member Alyson has asked for clear item(s). I've got a partially clear acrylic overlay (it has thin peach stripes and the mint + black banner printed on it) that is over big pink dotted paper as well as three clear gems

when: #566 starts August 8 and lasts 13 days.

what: project #1

how-to & vendor notes #1 =

1. acrylic overlay is from a cut-a-part sheet that started as a 12" square= Allison Kreft Designs' "Hello World" by Webster's Pages (very old)

2. coconut drink, sunglasses, leafy stem stickers = Just Chill sticker book from My Mind's Eye

3. pink dotted paper = old The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby

4. dark brown retractable marker pen = Zebra Clickart

5. clear gems from a package = Crafter's Square

6. both pink tone cardstocks are from= Neenah (from different packages)

where #1 will be linked up:

  1. A super fun card perfect for these hot days. I don't know there but here in Spain we're having a very long heatwave and those glasses and the cocktail are the best thing for this kind of days, hehehe. Hugs, María.

    1. We've had a roller coaster of 3-6 days of heat and humidity and then we get a cool down for 2-3 days and then back up again. This current heat cycle is going to be 6-7 days unless there's a cold front or something. Thanks teamie for stopping by!

  2. A sweet card Becca - too cold here for a tropical themed drink - August usually brings cold, clear weather and this year is no exception!! Roll on spring!

    1. Oh to be in the other half of the planet! :) I would like a cold clear day but December-March will be soon enough for all that. Last winter was more moderate, slushy wet snows with some good snowball packing kind of snows. Lots of gray overcast days that spilled over into spring season, too. Thanks for another blog visit!
