Sketchy Saturday prompt from 22 december 2018 entry one

Document December 2018 with a mixed format pocket page's first entry

I collected some scraps from Christmas card-making and some leftovers from my Nov 2018 CKC blog copy-cat kit to quickly put together an entry in the scrapbook for this awesome month. Three of the four pockets will use the same sketch prompt provided by Laurel Seabrook Designs' Sketchy Saturday challenge.

The gift tag used as a sentiment focal is a tad overlarge for this pocket entry yet when seen within the context of the full sheet doesn't look too overwhelming. The stickers are old leftovers from junk mail. White copy paper for base. Red with black dots patterned paper is from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby. The fun and festive diagonal stripe is old stuff. Stickers are used instead of snowflakes as shown on the sketch.

Here's this first pocket entry as seen in the completed page:

This is the sketch prompt challenge no 31 from Laurel Seabrook Designs. Use the link up above to go to her blog post to see her example and for submitted link-ups.

I also want to give credits to the Facebook group, 100 Pattern Papers Challenge, for encouraging paper-crafters like myself to get busy using papers they've got stashed away. And also credit needs to be extended to the blog, Counterfeit Kit Challenge, and their FB CKC Community group for coming up with their monthly copy-cat scrapbooking kits as well as challenges to use up all the bits and pieces. https://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/p/monthly-link-up.html

Stay tuned for two more quick posts to get some design notes about entries 2 and 3 for this pocket page to DOCUMENT DECEMBER 2018.

  1. A lovely pocket page Becca, and yes, the sentiment is large when the card is out of the pocket, but looks fine 'in context' on the page
