Best wishes for birthday gal adventurer card for DT project TCCC blog no 222

My Besties is the prize sponsor and they provided this Peter Pan for one of the images for the design team's use (DT). And a 2nd prize sponsor is Creative Bug on the Loose; so use the link to visit the TCCC #222 to get all the details and see the other images that were given to the DT to create with!

Science fiction/out of this world is an option for our new TCCC blog challenge with patchwork being the other option. I didn't think I had anything in my stockpile that would look sci-fi or outer space, so I decided to do patchwork. #222

With a patchwork border I decided to go with a island-pirate ship-adventurer kind of motifs and phrasing to connect with part of Peter Pan's story.

4 of the paper square designs used on each side of the perimeter are from cardstock partial set and 2 small paper pads that I've added to my 2019's 100 PPC challenge (Facebook group) and to use for June's Paper Pad Madness challenge at Bash Your Scrapbook Stash (Facebook group).

Here are the paper picks I started with back on June 15th:

The border squares are 1" each but have only 1/2" exposed. I just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be a gap. The base cardstock is the light yellow seen at each corner where I left it open.

With lots of varying tones of yellows, greens, oranges, beiges/browns, and hints of other colors, I really LOVE how all these different vendors supplies came together! A true patchwork!!!

The Peter Pan image was fussy cut, mounted to bright neon orange cardstock and then to neon green however with scanning the neon orange faded to a pale peach...don't know why...but just to clarify my color choices. And I just LOVE how it turned out!!!!!

Enjoy! Thanks for reading my post and please take time to visit TCCC blog and see what the rest of the DT crew has prepared.
