Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! And I'm so glad this challenge came along so I could use the image given to the DT (1 of them) by Bugaboo to get a new traveler's notebook (slim type) started for my best friend.
We grew up in the same town about a mile or so apart and same grade in school and I think we had the same elementary teachers each year, too. The differences in our personalities helps to balance us. We've managed to sustain our bond for many years and across many miles as I've been the one to move the most times away from our childhood hometown.
The adventure when the snapshot was taken was meeting for lunch at Moe's Southwest Grill for about 3 hours! It was also just a few days after my birthday last summer, so we had that to celebrate!
Here's to my close knit friend:

inspiration for the layout:
sketch layout is from TN Time with Lisa and Lori for April 2020 and it carries over to about May 10th=
Lisa H provides the sketch each month and Lori S does the prompt/theme portion. I've participated several times during the past 14 months or so they've been offering this challenge and this is the first time I'm doing sketch only. The prompt was about using your favorite color combo and favorite embellishment. My layout has so many patterned papers and the digi image to feature that I didn't use any embellishments other than the word phrase stickers (Webster Pages).

Lisa and Lori have also started "The Great Stash Bash" and I threw together a hodgepodge of scraps with a few new papers and word stickers that I just received last week from Webster Pages (via Peachy Cheap bundle clearance deal!). Oh! The actual TN is from Webster Pages and was part of this new purchase!!!
I followed the April's requirements for the challenge. Right now, they are just offering a chance to show your kit and hopefully that will provide incentive to use it up. I've made several cards, 1 TN layout (this one), and 2 sides of a pocket page type protector sheet. Woot! For me that's productive!
These photos are my TGSB kit. The orange and beige floral is just above. The word phrases/sentences are shown in the 2nd photo up with the cover of the TN under it (beige and white large check). The chevron stripe cardstock got either covered up or was sitting on the table just out of camera lens range. I swear! I've used it on several projects this month!
The above link will take you to Lisa's blog page and you can look for the TGSB current challenge or you can go to her blog post archive list and look for the April posting and read the details as well as see what Lisa did for her own challenge.

DeleteI just love your spread Becca!! That yarn ball and the quotes are so awesome!! Great pic of you and your BFF too! Thanks for joining me this month at TN Time with Lisa & Lori! And so glad you were able to make up a Great Stash Bash kit this month too, you've been busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lisa!!! Lots of late nights &/or early mornings to do some extra crafting but have really enjoyed pushing my creativity and especially that of the kit to get a big percentage of it used!
