MTTC New Theme Focus on the Sentiment starts 30 April 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart is excited and hopefully I can keep the layout simple to let the sentiment be the focus! Let's see what the creative wheels and time at the desk and table have wrought this week:

My Time To Craft's new theme is "Sentiment". Put the focus on the cover sentiment/message! Make it bold. Make it colorful. Make it out of bling. Whatever. Who knows? Combine all of those! Check out my projects and use the MTTC challenge post #456 seen a little bit further down to take you over there to see what the other DT members have made.

Circling to "Have A Great Birth Day" card=

I had so much fun and loved the results of Card #1 that I made a Card #2 using same old card layout and the theme focus on the sentiment. I changed the wording, used different dimensions for the background papers and some of the circles.

"Have a fun & super birth day card"=

Design and vendor notes:

a. flat base (5" x 7") cardstock; yellow print (4.75" x 6") cardstock is from My Mind's Eye; the 'bird's eye view' black and cream patterned paper is from The Paper Studio; the very pale mint green with white dot patterned cardstock (largest circle) is also from My Mind's Eye

b. the others are scraps, probably either Pen + Gear or Astrobrights/Neenah

c. alpha stickers for 'have', 'fun', 'birth', and 'day' are from Freckled Fawn

d. the & and little heart are from Webster Pages

e. the multicolor letters for 'super' and the corrugated cupcake stick-on are from Dollar Tree

f. alpha letter 'a' in bright pink is from Simple Stories

At the start of the year I wanted 2021 to be filled with love and to also take a throwback look to cards I made in 2010 or 2011 to be my inspiration. I haven't done that for March and April, so I'm starting the planning and blog draft process with this soon-to-be card's inspo:

This thinking of you card was photographed/scanned on March 9, 2010. Different stencils were used for the different circle sizes and for the squiggles.
