My Time To Craft Christmas challenge no 13 technique theme clean and simple

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart wanted to use this acrylic printed 'card' section (I've got lots more in my stash!) for this next fortnight challenge at MTTCC. With a CAS technique and a small 4.5" wide x 5.5" high Christmas green card base I had the challenge to keep things at 66% 'white' space. If you look at the side margins and top open area, I probably did the reverse with having a 33% 'white' or empty space. For me, this is actually good (I like full designs with minimal empty space) but if I get time I might attempt a 2nd card. (Woot! I did!)

Card #1: This Is Love Christmas card

Note: not featured on MTTCC; however this was the first card I did attempt for this particular challenge so I will keep it on my blog posting....

Card #2= Jesus, Reason for the Season Christmas card {featured on MTTCC}
5" x 7" kraft cardstock base; ivory cardstock is another section from sheet used for 1st card; the white cardstock is recycled insert from glue dots packaging; alpha letter tile stickers are from Webster Pages (green) and Freckled Fawn (amber); washi tape, I think, is from a Jolee's Boutique multiple holiday boxed set; red glitter wooden stocking used as 'J' and red crystal gem stick-ons were bought at Dollar Tree

approximately 40-45% on top half and 10% on bottom half for 'white'/blank space(s)

more scanned/cropped views and design notes for 1st card=

Notes:

1. Paper Wishes website = Merry Christmas green foil with gold edge dazzles

2. Sequins, glitter foam hearts, amber heart jewel stick-ons, and gold glitter tape = purchased at different Dollar Tree stores over the past 2 years (foam hearts were silver and I painted over with green glitter paint pen)

3. acrylic printed section with "yes, this is love" on it was one small section of a full 12" square sheet = Webster Pages

4. the mother and child sticker is probably 20 years old; bought at a Christian bookstore; to symbolize Mary with her son, Jesus

5. the ivory and green cardstocks are from Astrobrights/Neenah

6. green permanent marker was used to edge the ivory cardstock section sized 4" x 5"
